To bridge the gap between technical engineering capabilities and client needs to secure long-term contracts, by acting as a trusted advisor to EPC companies and developers. (#LIRemote)

Your Role and Responsibilities

Main Accountabilities:

  • EPC Account Leadership (Core Focus): Act as the primary commercial and relationship owner for major Engineering, Procurement & Construction (EPC) firms across utility, transmission, distribution, power generation, renewables, and broader energy infrastructure sectors-leveraging deep EPC project lifecycle knowledge to align solutions with complex, multi-phase project execution models.

  • Revenue Growth & Sales Performance: Drive bookings, achieve sales volume, and optimize product mix to maximize profitability; own the full sales cycle from opportunity identification through contract award within EPC-driven project environments.

  • Pipeline Development & Strategic Account Management: Build, manage, and continuously mature a robust sales pipeline; develop and execute detailed key account plans while maintaining long-term strategic relationships with EPC clients, engineering partners, and project stakeholders.

  • Technical Proposal & Bid Leadership: Lead end-to-end development of competitive technical and commercial proposals, including bills of material (BOM), cost estimates, and project schedules-ensuring alignment with EPC bid requirements, specifications, and execution timelines.

  • Market Strategy, Client Engagement & Cross-Functional Execution: Conduct client presentations, negotiations, and follow-ups while identifying new market opportunities, analyzing competitors, and coordinating closely with engineering, product, and project teams; provide accurate forecasting, reporting, and profitability insights to senior leadership.

Knowledge, Skills, Experience:

  • Experience, Qualifications & Industry Engagement: Bring a bachelor's degree and 10+ years of experience across engineering, project management, sales, and/or marketing, with a proven track record in EPC-focused sales or business development within utilities and energy markets; possess strong customer relationship and leadership skills, willingness to travel (~50%) to offices, project sites, and industry events, and ideally hold existing relationships with major U.S. EPCs and knowledge of utility regulations, interconnection processes, and grid modernization initiatives.

  • Strategic Sales Development & EPC Account Expertise: Develop and execute comprehensive sales strategies aligned with customer business objectives, particularly within Engineering, Procurement & Construction (EPC) environments; guide clients through complex options and alternatives while coordinating cross-functional efforts across multiple business units and stakeholders.

  • Data-Driven Analysis, Forecasting & Market Intelligence: Apply strong analytical and communication skills to evaluate sales performance, identify success drivers and barriers, anticipate market changes, and forecast customer buying patterns, product requirements, and long-term demand trends.

  • Multi-Project & Portfolio Management: Effectively manage multiple large-scale projects and EPC account portfolios simultaneously, maintaining organization, prioritization, and strategic focus to successfully execute detailed sales account plans in complex, fast-paced environments.

  • Business Acumen, Stakeholder Alignment & Leadership: Demonstrate deep understanding of both customer and internal organizational structures; exercise sound judgment on escalation, proactively identify and mitigate risks, communicate roadblocks, and foster a collaborative, team-oriented culture that drives cross-functional alignment and results.

  • Ability and willingness to maintain a valid driver's license and must have work authorization to work for ABB in the United States.
