Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated Product Finance Engineer to join a dynamic, cross-functional team. In this role, you will partner closely with Engineering, Purchasing, Product Planning, and Finance to drive end-to-end product cost across the full product lifecycle. This position blends technical understanding with financial expertise to influence design decisions, optimize cost structures, and enhance overall product value and competitiveness.

Job Responsibilities:
* Develop and deliver product cost forecasts and detailed cost analyses, identifying risks and opportunities across projects.
* Drive product cost management throughout the full lifecycle, ensuring alignment with strategic cost targets.
* Break down overall cost targets into system and component-level cost requirements.
* Lead and support design-to-cost initiatives to develop cost-efficient engineering solutions.
* Collaborate cross-functionally to balance Quality, Delivery, Cost, Features, and Sustainability (QDCF-S) in product design.
* Act as the voice of the customer in evaluating cost, feature, and value trade-offs.
* Develop, maintain, and enhance cost models to support data-driven decision-making.
* Drive continuous improvement in cost management practices using benchmarking and digital tools.
* Promote cost-conscious decision-making through mentoring, coaching, and sharing best practices.

Required Qualifications:
* Bachelor"s degree in Finance, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
* Strong analytical and financial modeling skills with experience in cost analysis.
* Ability to interpret technical data and translate it into financial insights and recommendations.
* Proven ability to work effectively in cross-functional, matrixed environments.
* Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Preferred Qualifications:
* Experience in product cost engineering, manufacturing, or automotive/aerospace environments.
* Familiarity with design-to-cost methodologies and cost breakdown structures.
* Experience working with ERP systems, cost modeling tools, or data analytics platforms.
* Background in both engineering and finance disciplines is highly preferred.
