JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Develops, evaluates, and improves manufacturing methods and process planning.
* Coordinates the manufacturing launch of new/revised products including establishing goals, training team members and evaluating results.
* Designs, develops and test and/ or sources and cost-justifies various tools, machinery, and equipment for recommend manufacturing methods.
* Performs products/process analysis for cost reduction, quality improvement, and improved efficiency.
* Represents manufacturing on cross-functional teams.
* Monitor and improve the efficiency, output and safety of manufacturing processes through observations and measurements as well as by collecting and interpreting data from other technical & operations personnel.
* Maintain housekeeping at and around department.
* Apply 6s principles to all areas of the plant.
* Wear all personal protective equipment necessary to task and area.
* Perform any other duties deemed necessary by management.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
* Must be a US Citizen, Green Card Holder
* High school diploma or equivalent required.
* College degree in related field preferred.
* 2 + years in engineering or related field with proven skills.
* Knowledge of Kaizen and Lean Manufacturing techniques
* Excellent cognitive and analytical skills, and reading and writing skills.
* Strong computer background, organizational, planning, and typing skills.
* Effective communication skills and human relations skills.
* Ability to organize and manage multiple priorities.
* Ability to work well in a team environment.
