Job Summary Entry-Level Data Center Technicians are needed to support a fast-paced infrastructure project involving the installation of Hot Aisle Containment systems and general data center build activities. This role is open to entry-level candidates, particularly individuals with backgrounds in construction, skilled trades, or other hands-on technical work who are looking to transition into the data center and low voltage industry. Technicians will assist with equipment installation, cable management, material handling, and rack movement within a live data center environment. The position requires individuals who can use basic hand tools, read tape measures, and follow detailed instructions while working as part of a team. Candidates must be dependable, able to quickly learn new tasks, and comfortable working extended hours in a fast-paced environment. This position begins as a 30-day contract with the potential for extension or long-term employment based on performance and project needs. Job Responsibilities

Assist with installation of Hot Aisle Containment systems within a data center environment.

Perform cable infrastructure support including fiber rough-in, dressing, labeling, and basic cable management.

Support rack and stack of equipment, server rack build-outs, and rack elevation tasks.

Assist with installation of fiber tray systems, ladder racks, cabinets, and related infrastructure components.

Perform material handling including receiving, organizing, and staging hardware and equipment.

Assist with hardware assembly and potential rack movement activities as directed.

Utilize hand tools such as wrenches, screwdrivers, pliers, and cable cutters to complete installation tasks.

Read and follow tape measurements, basic layouts, and installation instructions.

Follow written and verbal instructions from supervisors and team leads while maintaining professional communication.

Maintain a clean and organized work area and adhere to all jobsite safety protocols and PPE requirements.

Work collaboratively with team members in a 24-hour operational environment.
Job Requirements

High School Diploma or GED equivalency.

Entry-level candidates encouraged to apply, especially those with construction, installation, mechanical, or other skilled trades experience.

0-2 years of experience in data center work, construction, or hands-on technical environments preferred but not required.

Ability to use basic hand tools and read a tape measure accurately.

Must be dependable with strong attendance and punctuality throughout the project duration.

Ability to communicate and understand English sufficiently to follow directions and safety guidance.

Reliable transportation and reliable communication to maintain schedule and work assignments.

Must report to the first day of work prepared with required PPE and tools.

Physical ability to work on ladders or scissor lifts, work in confined spaces, lift up to 50 pounds, move up to 75 pounds, and remain on feet for extended shifts.

Onboarding expected to begin in early May with approximately one week of preparation before the project start.

Project schedule expected to run for approximately 22-25 days.

24-hour operations with two shifts: 6:00 AM - 6:00 PM and 6:00 PM - 6:00 AM.

Rotating schedule of three days on followed by three days off with alternating crews to maintain continuous operations.

Hourly pay typically ranges from $21-$22 per hour, with potential for higher pay based on relevant experience.

Technicians must arrive on-site with steel-toe or composite-toe boots, long pants, and required basic hand tools including screwdrivers, tape measure, pliers, cable cutters, and related tools.

Consistent attendance and reliability throughout the project timeline are essential due to tight deadlines and project requirements.
