Position Summary: The Supervisor, Project Management Office (PMO) is responsible for leading the Project Management Office to ensure successful delivery of enterprise projects aligned with organizational strategy. This role oversees project governance, methodology, resource allocation, and performance metrics to drive operational excellence and strategic outcomes.

Position Responsibilities



  • PMO Leadership & Governance: Establish and maintain PMO standards, processes, and best practices for project management. Develop and enforce project intake, prioritization, and gating processes. Ensure compliance with organizational policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Project Delivery & Oversight: Oversee execution of enterprise-wide projects, ensuring alignment with strategic goals. Monitor project performance, budgets, timelines, and quality standards. Implement risk management strategies and issue resolution processes.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with senior leadership and business units to define project objectives and success criteria. Facilitate communication between IT, PMO, and cross-functional teams for seamless project execution.
  • Resource & Team Management: Manage PMO staff, including hiring, mentoring, and performance evaluations. Allocate resources effectively across multiple projects and programs.
  • Reporting & Metrics: Develop dashboards and reports to track project progress, KPIs, and portfolio health. Present updates to executive leadership and recommend corrective actions when needed.
  • Maintain effective working relationships with employees and customers at all levels within LCEC. Ensure smooth operations, productive communications, and effective understanding during all interpersonal contacts. Provide current and accurate information to all requesters, courteously and in a timely manner.
  • Support Storm Restoration efforts when needed. Work in emergency storm situations (i.e. hurricanes) and work long hours (>12 hours per day) for many continuous days/weeks as needed.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.


Education



  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, or related field. (Required)


Experience



  • 5 Year's of project management experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership role within a PMO. Proven track record of managing complex, enterprise-level projects using Agile and Waterfall methodologies. (Required)
  • Experience in utility or technology-driven industries. (Required)
  • Familiarity with IT governance frameworks and cybersecurity standards. (Required)
  • Must have managed multi-million-dollar projects or enterprise-level projects. (Required)
  • Managed multiple simultaneous projects. (Required)
  • Managed projects across multiple functions. (Required)
  • Emphasis on continuous learning and improvement. (Required)


Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities



  • Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills. Expertise in project portfolio management tools and Microsoft 365 suite. (Required)
  • Excellent listening and communication skills. (Required)

  • Strong ability to multi-task. (Required)


Certifications



  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification. (Required)
