Position: Cybersecurity Engineer

Location:Peters Township, PA (On-site)

Length:6+ Month Contract

Job Description:

Seeking a highly technical Cybersecurity Engineer with strong hands-on experience configuring and operating security tools across Microsoft 365 and Operational Technology (OT) environments within the Oil & Gas industry. This role requires direct involvement in building, tuning, and maintaining security controls across IT and industrial systems (SCADA/ICS). The ideal candidate is an engineer who actively configures systems, writes detection logic, responds to incidents, and works closely with field and control system teams to secure critical infrastructure.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Microsoft 365 Security & Identity Configuration
  • EDR/XDR Implementation & Threat Operations
  • Operational Technology (OT) / ICS Security (Hands-On)
  • Security Engineering & Operations

Core Technical Skills:

  • Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD) Configuration
  • Conditional Access & Identity Governance (IGA)
  • Microsoft Defender (Endpoint, Identity, Office 365)
  • Microsoft Sentinel (SIEM/SOAR, KQL)
  • EDR/XDR Engineering & Threat Hunting
  • OT/ICS Security (SCADA, PLC, DCS)
  • Network Segmentation & Industrial Architecture
  • Scripting & Automation (PowerShell, Python)


Qualifications:

  • 4-8+ years ofhands-on cybersecurity engineering experience
  • Proven experience configuring Microsoft 365 security stack:

    • Entra ID, Defender suite, Microsoft Sentinel

  • Strong experience with EDR/XDR deployment, tuning, and response
  • Hands-on experience in OT/ICS environments within Oil & Gas or similar critical infrastructure
  • Experience with scripting and automation (PowerShell, Python)
  • Strong understanding of networking (firewalls, segmentation, VPNs)
