The Sr Analyst, AI Governance is responsible for leading, developing and performing AI Governance Program functions in the Second Line of Defense (2LOD) by providing independent oversight, effective challenge, and reporting related to the design and execution of AI governance controls. This role monitors adherence to AI related policies and standards, supports risk identification and assessment activities, tracks AI related issues and remediation plans, and prepares routine governance metrics and materials for stakeholders.
About This Role: Job Specific Responsibilities/Accountabilities:
- Provide 2LOD oversight for FNBO's AI Governance Program through review and challenge of AI governance practices and artifacts;
- Consult on and evaluate whether AI governance policies, standards, and procedures are appropriately designed and implemented by accountable First Line of Defense (1LOD) teams;
- Develop and maintain AI governance guidance, templates, and minimum control expectations in partnership with applicable risk and control functions.
- Perform and facilitate AI related risk identification and assessment activities (e.g., initial and ongoing risk assessments, control mapping, key risk indicators) consistent with the Bank's risk management framework;
- Assist with ongoing monitoring of AI governance adherence, including tracking review timeliness, exceptions, and completion of required lifecycle artifacts;
- Maintain oversight trackers (e.g., use case inventory views, assessment status, and outstanding actions) for monitoring and reporting purposes;
- Identify trends, emerging issues, or control gaps and escalate observations to leadership for further review and action; and
- Collaborate with partners such as Technology, Information Security, Compliance, HR, Privacy, Model Risk Management, and Internal Audit to support coordinated oversight.

The Ideal Candidate for This Role:
Minimum Qualifications: Required:
- Bachelor's degree or related risk management experience;
- 5+ years experience leading, developing or performing functions related to technology, model, data or AI/automation risk oversight programs;
- Understanding of GenAI models and platforms, architecture design and controls, and technologies including large language models, retrieval augmented generation and machine learning.
- Familiarity with AI/GenAI concepts and responsible AI principles, including common risk areas (privacy, security, bias/fairness, explainability, third-party, and change management);
- Experience with risk and control frameworks and/or governance standards (e.g., NIST AI Risk Management Framework);
- Excellent meeting facilitation skills with experience building consensus, gaining buy-in, and addressing complex topics within all levels of an organization;
- Proficient in business and leadership capabilities: effective communication, independent and sound decision making, effective relationship management skills;
- Ability to articulate complex concepts in a clear manner to stakeholders at all levels;
- Ability to work efficiently in pressure situations and demonstrate a high level of flexibility in a rapidly changing environment;
- Ability to build and develop collaborative working relationships;
- Ability to identify and recommend objective resolutions to problems using risk analysis; and
- Ability to present information and reporting in a clear and concise manner.
Desired:
- Experience working in a highly regulated environment; and
- Working knowledge of Archer GRC Tool.

Compensation:
Compensation range (base pay): $81,662.00-$134,741.00
This role may have a specific starting pay within this range. Final compensation offer to candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon work experience, education, and/or skill level. Work Environment:
It is anticipated that the incumbent in this role will work in a hybrid capacity, balancing in-person collaboration three (3) days a week with remote flexibility two (2) days a week. As part of our team, you'll experience the energy and relationship-building of face-to-face collaboration while still enjoying the flexibility of remote workdays.
