Security Officer Residential Patrol

As a Security Officer Patrol Controller in New York, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a government location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence, and help support a secure environment through routine patrols, access awareness, and strong communication. This role offers the chance to deliver customer service, respond to security-related concerns, and represent Allied Universal with agility, reliability, teamwork, innovation, and integrity.

Job Schedule:

What You'll Do:

Provide customer service by carrying out site-specific procedures, government location policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while documenting relevant security-related details.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location, including interior areas, exterior grounds, entry points, and perimeter areas as assigned.
• Monitor access to the location by observing visitor activity, reporting unusual behavior, and/or following post orders related to authorized entry.
• Support staff, residents, and/or visitors by giving directions, relaying information, and reporting maintenance, life assistance, and/or security-related concerns to the appropriate personnel.

Minimum Requirements:

• A minimum of 6 months of security-related experience is required.
• Proof of a high school diploma or GED is required by the client.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• A guard card and/or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
