Housed within the beautiful Rosenfeld Library, UCLA Anderson Computing & Information Services (ACIS) supports the creation, acquisition and dissemination of knowledge through providing technological solutions and information competency skills. Our mission is to enable our faculty, students and staff to access, create, analyze, organize and exchange information necessary to achieve research and educational objectives through the delivery of quality, professional information support services.
Business runs on information, access, analysis and communication. At UCLA Anderson, the library is more than books, brick and mortar. The ACIS physical and electronic environment is designed to facilitate research, information & technology skills building, communication and collaboration. Library and Computing share the Rosenfeld Library building to deliver convenient access to information and computing services.
ACIS is comprised of dedicated and enterprising librarians, programmers, technicians and staff working together to deliver a spectrum of library and electronic services to the entire UCLA Anderson community.
Position Summary

SaaS application Developer (AI Focus) will have expertise in CRM platforms and enterprise applications to design and implement AI-driven solutions that enhance business processes, customer engagement, and operational efficiency. This role focuses on leveraging AI technologies-such as machine learning, natural language processing (NLP), and generative AI-while integrating them seamlessly into CRM systems (Salesforce) and other low-code/no-code enterprise platforms (OutSystems, StackAI). This role will bridge technical capabilities and business needs, enabling rapid development of intelligent solutions without extensive coding. SaaS application Developer (AI Focus) will be responsible for supporting the administration and technical support for the organization's Salesforce environment, with primary focus on Enterprise Sales Cloud and Experience Cloud supporting the alumni community. Maintain user provisioning, security and permissions management, workflow automation, and system configuration changes. Ensure system stability and optimal performance across all Salesforce products in use. This candidate will have expertise in building and deploying AI solutions using low-code/no-code platforms (Microsoft Power Apps, OutSystems, StackAI) to accelerate delivery and reduce complexity. He or she will work closely with business stakeholders to gather requirements, translate them into functional AI solutions, and ensure alignment with organizational objectives. Flex work arrangements are possible for this role but it is not 100% remote and some in office time will be required. This position reports to the Deputy CIO (ACIS). Tasks should be completed with a moderate level of independence. Incumbent must be able to prioritize work understanding need, timelines, and policies. Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment and offer and receive constructive feedback and direction to support team goals.


Salary & Compensation

*UCLA provides a full pay range. Actual salary offers consider factors, including budget, prior experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business considerations. Qualifications

  • 4 years of information technology experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience. (Required)
  • At least three years' experience as a Salesforce Administrator required. (Required)
  • Two years' experience using low-code/no-code platforms and AI Integration (e.g. PowerApps, Outsystems, StackAI) (Required)
  • Salesforce Administrator certification (ADM201). Ability to build and maintain Salesforce custom fields, custom objects, formula fields, automated flows, lightning pages, list views, dashboards, and reports. Experience with Education Data Architecture (EDA) model. Experience in data migration/bulk data loading into Salesforce. Familiarity with Salesforce Service, Marketing and Experience Cloud. (Required)
  • Experience in hands-on configuring for prototyping, development, testing and other implementation activities. Experience deploying Salesforce system changes using change sets and DevOps tools like Gearset/OwnBackup. (Required)
  • Understanding of Salesforce integration patterns and experience integrating Salesforce with external systems using tools like REST/SOAP APIs and middleware integration platforms. (Required)
  • Skilled at developing and running queries using SQL/SOQL. Knowledge of relational database design and how to build SQL/SOQL queries to pull data from multiple tables and/or databases. (Required)
  • Cloud Platforms: Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure. (Required)
  • Knowledge of Azure Data Factory to build automated data workflows to move and transform data. (Required)
  • Knowledge of Integrated Development Environments such as Visual Studio, Visual Code, SSMS (Required)
  • Strong understanding of AI concepts: machine learning, NLP, generative AI. (Required)
  • Familiarity with data security, compliance, and responsible AI principles. (Preferred)
  • Knowledge of Programming Languages - C#, Python (Preferred)
  • General knowledge of Apex, Visualforce, Lightning Components, and Salesforce Flow. (Preferred)
  • Advanced Excel knowledge including Data menu commands. Extensive knowledge of building moderate to complex Excel formulas including usage of Lookup, Logical, Statistical, and Text functions. (Required)
  • Highly competent with Office 365, Microsoft Teams, and project management tools like Asana. (Required)
  • Ability to train users on software systems. Creative and supportive with helping people understand technical procedures. (Required)
  • Strong oral communication skills to speak using appropriate vocabulary to: provide information, explain policies, procedures, and system functionality. (Required)
  • Ability to multi-task, to prioritize work, to take initiative, to meet deadlines of assignments, to be flexible and adaptable and to work well under pressure when faced with fluctuating workloads, pressures of deadlines and competing demands. (Required)
  • Possess high degree of attention to detail and accuracy in daily tasks. (Required)
  • Skilled at developing process and system documentation in a form that can be used by data processors with minimal experience. (Required)
  • Strong written communication skills. Ability to have high degree of attention to detail and accuracy in preparing queries, reports, documents, and electronic communication. (Required)
  • Proven experience in organizing, planning, and executing projects, independently, working on projects as a team leader/PM or effective team member, and completing projects and assignments with minimal supervision. (Required)
  • Demonstrated willingness to maintain knowledge of current tools and trends and to inform the organization about how they affect current practices. (Required)
  • Ability to maintain strictly confidential information and exercise good judgment. (Required)
  • Demonstrable ability to develop, test, deploy, and support enterprise-level applications and solutions. (Required)
