Position Title: Project Manager I - Systems & Program Office

Work Location: Tucson, AZ 85755

Assignment Duration: 12 months

Work Arrangement: Onsite

Position Summary:

This is an onsite Project Manager position in Manufacturing Operations, requiring a critical thinker skilled in stakeholder management. The role involves managing less complex projects, overseeing project time, resources, budgets, and timelines.

Key Responsibilities:

Production (80%)



  • Manages project team information to support decision-making.
  • Accountable for quality implementation in areas such as project risk management, critical path analysis, and robust planning.
  • Proactively identifies and communicates issues to stakeholders.
  • Creates, coordinates, and maintains integrated project plans in the Project & Portfolio Management Tool (PPM).
  • Identifies gaps or delays and proposes solutions to get projects back on track.
  • Manages meetings, sets agendas, organizes time, and records meeting minutes.
  • Follows best practices in project management and fosters continuous improvement.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by management.


Teamwork and Collaboration (10%)



  • Effectively communicates project status to stakeholders.
  • Collaborates cross-functionally with technical teams to support product launches.
  • Acts as a backup for other project managers to ensure continuity of project execution.
  • Elevates concerns to leadership, providing necessary details and proposed solutions.


Continuous Improvement (5%)



  • Leverages technology tools to improve project efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Uses lean tools to simplify group processes.
  • Works with a lean mindset to optimize processes.


Safety and Quality (5%)



  • Operates with a safety and quality mindset.
  • Completes required training to meet compliance standards.
  • Maintains current process information and documentation.
  • Participates in audits and inspections when requested.


Qualifications & Experience:



  • Bachelor's degree (Required)
  • 2 years of project management experience or relevant experience (Preferred)
  • Project Management specific training and/or certification (Preferred)


Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:



  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Strong ability to partner and collaborate cross-functionally
  • Situational assessment and decision-making skills
  • Strong problem-solving and coordination skills
  • Ability to manage projects with milestones for product/project launch
  • Understanding of Design Control and/or Phased Development processes (Preferred)
  • Proficiency in MS Project and/or Project & Portfolio Management Tool
  • Experience with Google Suite of products
