Add to Favorite Jobs Email this Job The Department of Pathology at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine seeks a full-time non-tenure-eligible Clinician-Educator in the area of Renal Pathology at the rank of Instructor, Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Professor. Responsibilities include clinical service on the renal biopsy service to include native and transplant renal biopsies with associated ancillary studies. The renal biopsy service currently analyzes approximately 1,200 renal biopsies annually. There are options for successful candidate to participate in a limited manner on other subspecialty services, including Cardiac, GU and Autopsy services, among others. The Anatomic Pathology division offers subspecialty sign-out and Renal Pathology faculty work closely with other divisions of the department. In addition to clinical responsibilities and research, faculty are expected to play an active role in the teaching and training of medical students, residents, and nephrology fellows. Strong and effective interpersonal and communication skills, and a commitment to excellent patient care are required Qualified candidates will hold an MD or MD/PhD and be board certified in AP or AP/CP from the American Board of Pathology. The candidate must be eligible for an unrestricted medical license in the state of Illinois. Fellowship training in renal pathology is required, and subspecialty area of surgical pathology is desirable. Rank and remuneration determined by qualification and experience. The start date is negotiable, and the position will remain open until filled. The expected base pay range for this position is $200,000 - $365,000 dependent on rank, years of experience, leadership roles, and other academic factors. Northwestern University has provided a pay range representing its good faith estimate of what the university reasonably expects to pay for the position. The pay offered to the selected candidate will be determined based on factors including (but not limited to) the experience and qualifications of the selected candidate including years since terminal degree, training, and field or discipline; departmental budget availability; internal comparators; and external market pay for comparable jobs.
