Description Mid Coast HospitalNursing/Clinical Support For a limited time MaineHealth is offering sign-on bonuses for Medical Assistants: 0-1 years of experience eligible for $4,000 (full time) 1+ years of experience eligible for $5,000 (full time) Eligible candidates are hired (offer accepted) into a Full or Part time MA position. Current MaineHealth member employees are ineligible; Medical Assistant - Walk in Clinic About Us: This position requires the ability to thrive in a dynamic setting, respond to varying patient volumes, and provide compassionate care to patients of all ages. Position Summary: The MA will room patients, obtain vital signs and medical histories, and accurately document information in the electronic medical record. They will assist providers with examinations and procedures, perform clinical tasks such as specimen collection, point-of-care testing, and EKGs, and administer medications and immunizations as directed. Responsibilities: * Greet patients and assist with check-in/check-out processes * Obtain and record vital signs, medical histories, and other patient information * Prepare patients for examinations and assist providers as needed * Schedule appointments, answer phones, and perform clerical tasks * Maintain accurate and confidential patient records in compliance with HIPAA * Support behavioral health providers with administrative and clinical duties Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)
