Meijer is seeking an energetic, detaildriven Grocery Lead to support daily operations within our Grocery department. This role plays a key part in ensuring our shelves are full, our standards are met, and our customers receive an exceptional shopping experience. The Grocery Lead partners closely with leadership to guide team members, maintain merchandising plans, and uphold Meijer's commitment to freshness, safety, and service.

What you'll be doing:

  • Lead daily grocery operations, including stocking, zoning, inventory rotation, and merchandising execution.

  • Provide direction and support to team members to ensure productivity, accuracy, and adherence to department standards.

  • Monitor inventory levels, identify out of stocks, and communicate replenishment needs.

  • Ensure planogram and promotional sets are completed accurately and on schedule.

  • Maintain freshness and food safety standards, including proper rotation (FIFO), temperature checks, and shrink control.

  • Support training and onboarding of new team members within the Grocery department.

  • Deliver excellent customer service, assisting shoppers with product questions and locating items.

  • Collaborate with store leadership to meet sales goals, labor targets, and operational expectations.

  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in accordance with company policies.

  • Retail or other customer service experience preferred
