Position Summary:

The Medical College of Wisconsin's Division of Geriatric & Palliative Medicine is seeking a Faculty Geriatrician to provide specialty medical care within the Geriatrics setting. This position is located at the Medical College of Wisconsin campus in Milwaukee, WI.

Our geriatrics clinical practice spans geriatrics specialty care, memory care, and geriatrics primary care in the ambulatory, inpatient, and post-acute/long-term care setting. This current opening focuses on the ambulatory care setting with opportunities at both Froedtert Hospital and the Zablocki VA Medical Center.

Position Highlights:
  • Academic position with a rich & flexible mix of teaching, patient care, research/scholarly activity, and administrative engagement tailored to the interests & career goals of the individual faculty.

  • Access to robust mentorship in memory care-focused clinical research, including involvement with cutting-edge diagnostic & therapeutic approaches

  • Will also receive mentorship for dementia related clinical trials, and, over time, will work to establish a clinical research program in Geriatrics

Schedule:
  • Full time

  • Monday - Friday with night & weekend call shared in rotation with other geriatric faculty

Qualifications: Preferred Experience:
  • Geriatric Medicine and Memory Care training/experience

Minimum Education:
  • MD or DO

  • Completion of Internal Medicine residency

  • Completion of Geriatrics fellowship

Minimum Requirements:
  • Wisconsin MD or DO License

  • Certification Requirements:

  • ABIM- Internal Medicine board certification/eligibility

  • ABIM- Geriatric Medicine board certification/eligibility
