Job Description

Experience preferred, however we will train the right person. This is a 2nd shift position with a 4-day (10 hours/day) workweek from Monday thru Thursday, 4pm -2:30am. Recent base wage increase is ultra-competitive, and there's an additional $1/hour shift differential for this 2nd shift role.



Summary


Responsible for ensuring raw materials are accurately supplied to mattress production lines using FIFO methodology while maintaining proper inventory controls. Collaborates closely with material handlers and production line leaders to support a consistent, uninterrupted flow of materials and meet production requirements efficiently



Role and Responsibilities



  1. Enter customer weekly releases into SAP
  2. Create all customer pulls on a daily basis
  3. Create and maintain ship schedule daily
  4. Distribute all customer orders to scheduling and shipping daily
  5. Filing of all shipping documents
  6. Assist customer service with customer e-mails to obtain information on releases and pulls and customer freight information, etc.
  7. Reviewing sales orders with CSRs to determine carryovers, past dues to customer
  8. Reviewing open order and open delivery reports to close orders with minimal quantities (1 thru 50 lys)
  9. Back up for billing scrap orders
  10. Work on special projects/assignments as needed
  11. Follow safety protocols
  12. Communicates with supervisor when non-conforming product
  13. Stops production to correct quality problems
  14. Environmental aspect and impact awareness
  15. Report any inconsistency or nonconformance on the product and participate in the corrective/preventive actions process


Qualifications and Education Requirements



  1. High School Diploma or GED
  2. Professional writing, English preferred


Preferred Skills



  1. Knowledge of Microsoft Office
  2. Shipping experience
  3. Basic math and organizational skills
