This opportunity is located within our Ensign-Bickford Aerospace & Defense Company business, a global leader of mission-critical hardware and systems solutions including precision energetics systems and innovative explosive solutions. Job Description EBAD is seeking an experienced Test Scheduler to support our high-mix, low volume workflow for all product lines delivered to the test department. The Test Scheduler will manage the test schedules, based upon established cycle times, and the resources required to perform the testing. This position will report directly to the Test Lab Manager and is based in Moorpark, CA. Responsibilities:
Leads all work scheduling actions ensuring accurate and up-to-date information is available to drive capacity requirements including planning adjustments resulting from un-planned demand, forecast shortfalls, and changes in customer demand. Acts as the communication conduit between the test department, program office and operations to ensure seamless flow of information from the customer to the shop floor and from the shop floor to the customer. Maintain detailed schedules for all open and planned orders using software such as Microsoft Project and Excel. Responsible for processing test requests, setting up data folders and entering the completed data into the data folders. Will be involved with continuous improvement of the scheduling process. Help manage, track, update and present work progress on our test visual boards. Actively contributes and participates the test department team meetings. Manages and maintains the test schedule for all programs and equipment. Reviews customer orders and determines feasible test completion dates. Leads internal weekly test/engineering meetings to captures priorities. Responsible for determining test resource capacity and works with test management in resource planning.
Requirements:
Associates or Bachelor's degree, technical discipline is preferred. 5+ years of experience in a production scheduling or program scheduling role in a manufacturing environment, aerospace experience is preferred. Astute, highly motivated and organized. Solid written and verbal communication skills Must be capable of learning our ERP system (IFS). Computer literate, able to use MS Office application software including Project, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint Teams and SharePoint knowledge are a plus Advanced Excel Skills are a plus
Compensation: Salary Range: $85,000-$110,000 per year. Salary is determined by the applicant's education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, internal equity, and alignment with market data.
