Application Programmer

Genesis10 is currently seeking a ETL Developer - Contract position with a Global Financial Institution located in Plano, TX. This is a 12+ month contract opportunity.

This role involves working as a data specialist on a development team to design, optimize, and oversee ETL processes. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in data analysis and management, contributing to the final ETL architecture and building large-scale data marts for high-volume, near-real-time reporting. This position is responsible for defining and leading the engineering approach for complex features to deliver significant business outcomes.

Responsibilities:

• Perform core IBM DataStage ETL (Extract Transform Load) development for data movement, data quality, and data cleansing
• Communicate with Business Users and Solution Architects to convert ETL design into specific development activities
• Design, implement, and operate comprehensive process models, including sourcing, loading, transformation, and extraction
• Create supporting documentation, such as metadata and diagrams of entity relationships, business processes, and process flow
• Troubleshoot ETL process failures or warnings and provide technical support for all ETL related issues
• Provide technical expertise and knowledge of ETL solutions for data integration projects
• Prepare deployment packages, including deployment documentation and DSX/ID exports
• Enable teams with Continuous Integration/Continuous Development (CI/CD) capabilities
• Guide and influence teams on design and best practices for high code performance
• Provide end-to-end delivery of complex features, including automation
• Conduct research, design prototyping, and other exploration activities such as evaluating new toolsets

Requirements:

• Minimum 7 years of experience with ETL development
• Proficiency with Oracle, SQL, and PL/SQL
• Strong UNIX/LINUX scripting skills
• Experience with ETL platforms like Informatica and Datastage
• Experience with job schedulers like Autosys
• Knowledge of CI/CD automation and Agile development methodologies
• Proven experience in troubleshooting and performance tuning

Desired skills:

• Experience working with SAP packs and high data volumes
• Knowledge of data modeling
• Experience with Github Co-pilot
• Experience with Python
• Knowledge of SAP

Pay range: $58.26 - $66.26 per hour
