The world of work as we know it is changing and we're looking for Trailblazers who are passionate about bettering business and the world through AI, driving innovation, and keeping Salesforce's core values at the heart of it all.

Ready to level-up your career at the company leading workforce transformation in the agentic era? You're in the right place! Agentforce is the future of AI, and you are the future of Salesforce.

Principal Architect, Endpoint Engineering About the Role

The Principal Architect, Endpoint Engineering is a visionary technical leader within the Digital Enterprise Technology (DET) organization. Reporting to the VP of IT Experience Engineering (ITXE), you will define the architectural north star for Salesforce's global workforce. You will be responsible for the strategy, security, and lifecycle of every device-Windows, macOS, Linux, and mobile-ensuring a "Success from Anywhere" experience that is seamless, secure, and highly automated for over 70,000+ Trailblazers.

Your Impact - Responsibilities
  • Strategic Vision: Define and drive the 3-5 year architectural roadmap for unified endpoint management (UEM), moving toward a fully cloud-native, Zero-Trust architecture.
  • AI & Automation: Lead the integration of Agentic AI and machine learning to drive proactive endpoint health, self-healing capabilities, and automated remediation.
  • Security & Trust: Partner with Enterprise Security to bake-in compliance and security (EDR, Encryption, DLP) as code, ensuring our endpoint posture reflects Salesforce's #1 value: Trust.
  • Engineering Excellence: Set the standards for CI/CD pipelines in endpoint deployment, infrastructure-as-code (IaC) for device configuration, and modern provisioning (Autopilot/DEP).
  • Cross-Functional Leadership: Act as a bridge between Digital Enterprise Technology (DET), Security, and Product teams to align endpoint capabilities with broader company initiatives like AI-driven productivity.
  • Mentorship: Evangelize a culture of technical excellence, mentoring senior engineers and fostering an inclusive environment that aligns with our Equality values.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Education & Experience: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent relevant work experience.
  • Enterprise Scale: 10+ years in Infrastructure/Endpoint Engineering, with 5+ years in a Principal or Architect capacity managing environments with 50,000+ nodes.
  • Multi-Platform Mastery: Deep architectural and engineering expertise across Windows, macOS, Linux, and mobile operating systems (iOS/Android).
  • Scale: Proven experience managing global endpoint environments of 50,000+ nodes using modern unified endpoint management (UEM) solutions.
  • Security Mindset: Strong foundation in Zero-Trust principles and extensive knowledge of endpoint security (EDR, vulnerability management, and automated patching).
  • Modern Tooling: Expert knowledge of UEM/MDM platforms and automated patch management frameworks.
  • Leadership: Demonstrated success driving large-scale digital workplace transformations and technology modernization initiatives.
  • Communication: Exceptional executive-level communication skills, with the ability to translate complex technical roadmaps into business impact for stakeholders.
  • Enterprise Scale: 10+ years in Infrastructure/Endpoint Engineering, with 5+ years in a Principal or Architect capacity managing environments with 50,000+ nodes.
  • Multi-Platform Mastery: Deep-tier engineering expertise in macOS (Jamf), Windows (Intune/Modern Management), and Linux at an enterprise level.
  • Communication: Ability to command a room of executives or a deep-dive session with engineers, translating complex "bits and bytes" into business value and strategy.
Preferred Qualifications
  • AI Integration: Experience leveraging LLMs or AI Agents to modernize IT support or endpoint monitoring (e.g., predictive analytics for hardware failure).
  • Cloud Ecosystems: Deep familiarity with Salesforce's own platform or integration experience with AWS, Azure, and Okta.
  • Community Impact: A history of contributing to the broader engineering community (open source, white papers, or speaking engagements).
