Software Systems Engineer

Work history assignment should not be multiple short term assignments, manager is looking for candidates who are long term and able to handle day to day SAP Basis Operations.

Required Proven experience with:

• MUST have a minimum of 3 years' experience with SAP Basis Administration
• MUST have hands on advanced experience with SAP system admin and performance management
• MUST have strong proficiency in S/4 Hana Data archiving
• Must have experience with Exadata

What schedule is the candidate required to work: 8 hours a day Monday to Friday with workday starting between 8am and 9am Eastern Time ending anywhere between 5pm and 6pm Eastern Time

Top 3 Required Skills

• Extensive SAP Basis Expertise 3-5 years of SAP Basis administration experience supporting systems such as S/4HANA, BW/BI, Solution Manager, Cloud ALM, Fiori, PI/PO, C4C, OpenText. Requires in depth knowledge of SAP NetWeaver, S/4HANA architecture, cloud based SAP technologies, and SAP Integration Suites.
• Advanced SAP System Administration and Performance Management Proven experience performing SAP system installations, upgrades, enhancement pack deployments, and support package implementations while maintaining technical documentation, architecture diagrams, disaster recovery planning, and operational procedures. Must be highly proficient in managing SAP client copies, system refreshes, transport management system, background job scheduling, and SAP security role administration. Ensure system integrity through regular backups, patching, kernel upgrades, and high-availability planning. Strong skills in monitoring and optimizing SAP system performance across databases, application servers, and interfaces. Experience administering SAP HANA databases, Oracle (including Exadata), or other relevant database platforms is required as well as Solaris/Oracle and Linux/Oracle platforms.
• Strong Proficiency in S/4HANA Data Archiving Demonstrated ability to manage S/4HANA data archiving processes and solutions, including configuring file systems, content servers, and archive storage locations. Capable of performing end to end configuration, execution, monitoring, and troubleshooting of archiving jobs across multiple SAP objects.

• SAP Basis or SAP HANA certifications
• Experience with Azure, AWS, or GCP hosting SAP workloads
• Familiarity with automation tools (Ansible, PowerShell, Terraform)
• Knowledge of ITIL processes (Incident, Change, Release Management)
• Experience with integration tools and interfaces (BAPIs, RFCs, IDocs, iFlows, PI/PO).

High Level Project Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and proficient Senior SAP Basis Admin to join our IT Applications team. This role serves as a key resource in Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system implementation and support, and is responsible for the installation, configuration, maintenance, including various modules and components and optimization of SAP systems across our enterprise landscape. The ideal candidate is proactive, detail-oriented, and experienced in managing complex SAP environments to ensure high availability, performance, and security.

Required Years of Experience:

• 3-5 years of hands-on SAP Basis administration experience

Required Education:

• Minimum High School Diploma or Equivalency
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field - or equivalent experience.
