Pool Supervisor



Overview:


To maintain the overall vision and strategy for the Omni Pool which includes the spa treatment rooms, fitness center, pool and locker rooms. The Pool Supervisor will support processes to enhance guest service in all areas of Omni Shoreham Health Club and Pool.



Responsibilities:




  • Oversee the daily operation of the spa treatment rooms, fitness center, pool and locker rooms.






  • Ensure the pool is maintained by monitoring filtration, water chemistry, and consistently reviewing pH of the water.






  • Promote the Health Club and Pool to current and potential members.






  • Manage relationships with members including selling and administering memberships, completing membership contracts, and collecting membership dues.






  • Coordinate with housekeeping, contracted cleaning services and engineering to ensure that the facility is clean and in working order.






  • Oversee supplies inventories and create purchase orders for the spa, fitness center, pool and locker rooms.






  • Liaison with Estheticians and Massage Therapists - facilitate trainings & meetings






  • Manage and log all service recovery issues, research billing problems and comp reports with proper follow up with accounting.






  • Other duties as assigned by management.





Qualifications:




  • POOL OPERATORS LICENSE required or at least two years' experience.






  • Experience in hospitality field, flexibility with schedule with evenings and weekend work required.






  • Good organizational skills and attention to detail required.





  • Must be able to push and pull carts and equipment weighing up to 250 lbs.






  • Perform both indoor and outdoor tasks.






  • Measurement, handling, and balancing levels of various pool chemicals.






  • Requires walking and giving direction; must be able to stand and exert well-paced mobility for up to 10 hours in length. Length of time of these tasks may vary from day to day and task to task.






  • Must be able to exert well-paced ability to reach different outlets and other departments of the hotel on a timely basis.






  • Must be able to bend, stoop, squat and stretch to fulfill cleaning and stocking tasks.






  • Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs. on a regular and continuing basis.






  • Requires grasping, writing, standing, sitting, walking, repetitive motions, bending, climbing, listening and hearing ability and visual acuity.






  • Talking and hearing occur continuously in the process of communicating with guests, supervisors and other employees.






  • Vision occurs continuously with the most common visual functions being those of near vision and depth perception.






  • Requires manual dexterity to use and operate all necessary equipment.







Additional Responsibilities:


To coordinate, implement and provide entertainment while exceeding guest expectations and creating an aesthetically pleasing atmosphere on the pool deck and in other recreation areas.



  • Energize the guests sitting around the pool deck
  • Enthusiastically greet and converse with guests
  • Maintain clear communication with essential departments
  • Actively participate in the assurance of the safety and fun of all programs
  • Oversee and assist with routine cleaning of all recreation areas and equipment (sweeping, mopping, picking up, organizing and keeping track of inventory)
  • Inspire audience to participate in activities to enhance their guest experience
  • Contribute in creating unique activities to implement
  • Facilitate sale and creation of crafts
  • Maintain activities supplies and equipment
  • Keep accurate record of activity participants daily
  • Create an atmosphere of a themed ambiance to entertain social guests
  • Assist with general resort duties as assigned


  • Must have excellent customer service skills
  • Must be able to work outside in extreme weather conditions and around water (pool)
  • Must have flexibility with work schedule, including willingness to work evenings, weekends and holidays
  • Must be comfortable using recreation equipment
  • Ability to work with guests of all ages
  • Previous childcare experience preferred
  • CPR/First Aid/AED holder preferred
