The Senior IR Technologist is a CRT/ARRT Technologist who maintains an ARRT sponsored VIR Certification within 1 year of reclassification. This individual must also be certified and demonstrate competency in performing injection procedures necessary for IR for a minimum of three - five years. This position requires the individual to be flexible in their work schedule, working Monday to Friday, covering nights and weekends and taking call when necessary. The Senior IR Technologist advanced responsibilities can include, yet are not limited to the following: Demonstrate competency actively and participate in the lead/coordinator role. Active participation in an annual performance improvement project or active participation in IR Quality Assurance/Radiation Safety meetings. Demonstrate competency and the ability to instruct one or more of the advanced procedures. This position is an advanced-level IR Tech. The ability to self-direct and to organize a varied workload is required. This incumbent demonstrates competency in assisting with VIR, Neuro Endovascular procedures and Vascular Surgery procedures from newborn thru geriatric patient population. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS Minimum 3-6yearsof IR experience. Previous experience in healthcareenvironment required (minimum 3-5 years). Graduate of a formal radiology technology-training program in an AMA approved school. Flexibility in scheduling, with the ability to rotate shifts and coverage for weekends and holidays.
