POSITION SUMMARY:

The Operations Communication Specialist supports the development and execution of resident-facing and site-level communications across the portfolio. This role helps ensure messaging is clear, consistent, and timely, contributing to strong operational execution and an enhanced resident experience. Partnering closely with Operations leadership and cross-functional teams, the Specialist supports communications related to key initiatives, projects, and day-to-day operational needs. This position is well-suited for a detail-oriented communicator eager to build experience in corporate and operational communications within a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:



  1. Assists in drafting and editing resident-facing and internal communications, including announcements, notices, and campaigns.
  2. Supports the execution of communication plans to ensure messaging is clear, accurate, and aligned with company standards.
  3. Maintains consistency in tone, voice, and branding across all communications.
  4. Provides communication support for operational initiatives, including system updates, process changes, and new programs.
  5. Develops messaging that helps site teams and residents understand and adapt to changes.
  6. Supports project teams by preparing communication materials and tracking deliverables.
  7. Coordinates and distributes resident communications through various platforms, including email and resident portals.
  8. Partners with site teams to ensure communications are delivered effectively and on time.
  9. Escalates sensitive or complex communication needs to senior team members as appropriate.
  10. Drafts, proofreads, and formats communications across multiple channels.
  11. Manages communication calendars, timelines, and approval processes.
  12. Ensures communications meet basic compliance, branding, and quality standards.
  13. Collaborates with cross-functional teams such as Marketing, Training, and Operations to support communication needs.
  14. Assists in preparing materials for training programs and operational initiatives.
  15. Seeks feedback and guidance to continuously improve communication effectiveness.
  16. Tracks basic communication metrics, including open rates and engagement, and compiles reports.
  17. Identifies opportunities to improve clarity and effectiveness of messaging based on feedback.
  18. Works under the guidance of senior team members and contributes to team projects.
  19. Performs duties without direct supervisory or leadership responsibilities.


QUALIFICATIONS:



  • High School Diploma or GED required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field preferred
  • Experience in communications, marketing, or related field preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel); familiarity with digital communication tools is a plus.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate professionally and clearly.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy in all work.
  • Demonstrated ability to organize tasks, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines.
  • Willingness to learn, adapt, and work effectively in a fastpaced environment.
  • Basic understanding of professional communication standards in written and verbal interactions.


PAY: $55,000 - $60,000/year + 5% bonus potential.
