The Kidacki Lab in the Department of Dermatology, University of Iowa Health Care is seeking a Research Intern to join our translational research program focused on Hidradenitis Suppurativa. Our group integrates computational biology and experimental organoid models to uncover mechanisms of disease and identify new therapeutic strategies in Hidradenitis Suppurativa. Key Responsibilities * Assist with analysis transcriptomic and imaging datasets (R). * Support laboratory experiments involving cell culture, organoid assays. * Maintain accurate experimental records and contribute to data management. * Participate in regular lab meetings and interdisciplinary project discussions. EDUCATION REQUIREMENT: Bachelor's Degree REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:Interest in translational biomedical research. Excellent attention to detail, organization, and problem-solving skills. Reliable, self-motivated, and eager to learn new wet lab techniques. DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS:Background or coursework in molecular biology, genomics, or immunology. Experience handling large datasets (RNA-seq, spatial, or imaging data). Interest in pursuing graduate or professional training in biomedical science or medicine. |
