*Description*
Position Purpose The Denials & Correspondence Specialist is responsible for generating, processing, and maintaining accurate provider and member correspondence related to pre-service and concurrent reviews. This role ensures all correspondence is completed timely, compliantly, and in alignment with regulatory requirements and organizational standards. Education & Experience * High School Diploma or GED required * Minimum of 1-2 years of related healthcare, insurance, or administrative experience * Experience with denial processes and medical record review preferred Key Responsibilities * Generate and process provider and member correspondence using EMR documentation * Ensure all correspondence is completed within regulatory turnaround time (TAT) requirements * Maintain, update, and manage correspondence templates based on regulatory updates and interdepartmental needs * Coordinate data collection, analysis, and reporting that support denial management and compliance initiatives * Assist with maintaining compliance logs and monitoring turnaround times for all correspondence notifications * Process denial management systems, including claims platforms, correspondence systems, and appeals tracking tools * Review and prioritize pending denial letters, approvals, escalations, and compliance deadlines * Monitor emails and internal communications for payer updates, policy changes, or procedural changes impacting denial workflows * Meet productivity standards, including: * Minimum of 4 denial letters per hour once fully trained * Minimum of 6-7 approval letters per hour once fully trained * Perform additional duties as assigned while adhering to organizational policies and standards *Additional Skills & Qualifications* Typing test 60 wpm - 95% accuracy Computer literacy test Years of experience required: 1+ year Process healthcare denial management systems (claims, correspondence platform, appeals tracking). *Experience Level* Entry Level *Job Type & Location*This is a Contract position based out of Tigard, OR. *Pay and Benefits*The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $23.00/hr.
