Quality Assurance Consultant

Genesis10 is currently seeking a Quality Assurance Automation Engineer - Hybrid (3 days/week) position with a Global Financial Institution located in Jersey City, NJ. This is a 12+ month contract opportunity.

This role requires a Quality Assurance professional to design, develop, and execute test plans, test cases, and automated test scripts to ensure high-quality product delivery across UI, database, and ETL-driven financial applications. The ideal candidate will create and maintain automation frameworks using Selenium with Java/Python, perform strong database validation, and support end-to-end testing across UI/DB workflows.

Responsibilities:

• Create and maintain automated test frameworks using Selenium with Java/Python for UI validation and regression coverage
• Develop reusable test automation components, utilities, and test suites to support scalable QA execution
• Perform database testing, including data validation, data integrity checks, and backend verification using SQL scripting
• Execute end-to-end testing across UI/DB workflows, ensuring accurate system behavior and data consistency
• Validate ETL processes and financial data pipelines, ensuring proper data transformation and reconciliation
• Write and execute complex SQL queries to support test case development, defect analysis, and data verification
• Collaborate with developers, product managers, and QA teams to identify, isolate, and resolve defects
• Document and track defects, test execution results, and automation metrics using QA best practices
• Contribute to continuous improvement of QA processes, test strategies, and automation standards

Requirements:

• 3+ years functional testing
• Hands on experience in Selenium
• Deep understanding of RESTful and SOAP-based web services
• Strong experience with SQL scripting
• Familiarity with test management and defect management tools like JIRA, Octane
• Experience with ETL and database testing
• Java Testing experience
• Hybrid schedule requirement of a minimum of 3 days per week onsite

Pay range: $50.42 - $58.42 per hour
