YOUR DAY TO DAY LIFE
We are looking for a Senior Cash Application in USA. Your mission will be to:
Purpose (Objective): The Senior Cash Application is the subject matter expert and point person for the day-to-day functional operations of the cash applications area for the Finance Department. The Senior Cash Application is responsible for applying all cash received on a daily basis, researching and analyzing issues within the cash application process, handling special requests as received, and assisting management with staff training and development. This position is responsible for working with department leadership to provide consistent efficient operations throughout the department.
Main activities:
* Post daily receipts (wires/ACH's/checks) on a timely basis in order to ensure accurate maintenance of accounts receivable balances.
* Facilitate communications with customers, customer service, AR personnel, and other internal customers to resolve application-related issues.
* Provide leadership direction to peers in order to assist with the development of a high-performance team.
* Analyze customer ledger records to ensure proper allocations have occurred so that A/R reports and general ledger accounting are accurate.
* Process credit card charges, handle SnapPay requests and issues, and assist with monitoring the department's AR inbox.
* Contact and follow up with the client when Credit card payments decline to ensure a replacement payment is obtained.
* Develop working relationships with bank contacts to research issues.
* Assist with the preparation of daily cash total reports.
* Handle time-sensitive audit requests and see them to completion.
* Identify disputed items and recommend account adjustments to clear such items from client accounts.
* Communicate with our Finance team in order to identify intercompany payments.
* Balance cash daily with the GL team to ensure a smooth close process and identify discrepancies early.
* Complete reporting for the close process.
* Handle escalations in reference to cash applications, customer payment platforms, or employee interactions
* Assist with new employee placement and required coaching and training
* Work with Supervisor on identifying and correcting performance issues and recognizing outstanding performers.
* Support department goals and continuous improvement process.
* Other duties may be assigned to fully meet the requirements of the position

Knowledge:
Profile:
* Minimum 5+ years of cash application experience.
Required Skills:
* Proficient in all discipline areas: Accounts Receivable, Invoicing, Accounting.
* Fluency in issue resolution. Proficient in Excel required (filters, vlookups, pivot tables, etc.)
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
* Excellent time management and organizational skills; ability to prioritize assignments
* Ability to work effectively as a member of a team, and work well under pressure.
Work Environment:
The position primarily works in an office environment. Physical dexterity is necessary to effectively manipulate a keyboard. The incumbent can expect extended time spent in a sitting position. Periodically, the position may lift up to 50 lbs.
Compensation Package Overview:
Compensation Range $29.00 - $30.00 hourly USD
