Join us at Marco.! The Role We have an exciting opportunity for a dynamic and energetic General Manager to lead Marco into its next chapter of growth and innovation. Based in Mt Vernon, MO the GM will have full P & L responsibility, including overseeing all aspects of the site's operations, ensuring the smooth running of the business, and driving growth and profitability. The successful candidate will have a deep understanding of the industry, excellent leadership skills to manage functions such as Manufacturing, Engineering, Product Development, Strategic Planning, Sales, Marketing and Aftermarket. The key aspect of this role is to drive growth & leverage the wider Terex footprint to capitalize on growing the business. Key Responsibilities Strategic Leadership: Development and execution of a pragmatic strategic plan for Marco. Develop and implement a business structure to achieve growth and expanded market share. Identify new market opportunities and develop strategies to expand the business. Monitor industry trends, competitors, and regulatory changes to ensure the competitiveness of the Marco business. Operations Management: Work with the Operations Manager and operations team to determine an optimal operations strategy, oversee the execution of that strategy, including all manufacturing and sourcing activity, ensuring production efficiency and quality standards. Drive labor efficiencies, maximising productivity and minimise costs. Ensure collaboration with engineering and design to enhance product development, innovation, ease of production and cost minimisation. Ensure all Terex standard manufacturing standards are implemented, working alongside the central Operations team. Ensure Operations partner with Sales and Finance to establish effective S& OP processes, manage all key operational metrics and maintain a with a constant focus on inventory management. Engineering Management: Lead the engineering team, with responsibility for all new product introduction and product design activities alongside the sustaining of the existing portfolio. Identify and implement cost effective design and technology alternatives to maximize profitability and to stay ahead of market needs. Sales and Marketing: Lead the commercial team to expand the global distributor network, drive revenue growth and expand our customer base. Ensure collaboration with Marketing to develop effective marketing campaigns and initiatives. Build and maintain relationships with key clients and distributors worldwide. Attend industry events and trade shows to promote Marco products and services. Financial Management: Work with Finance on annual budgeting and forecasts, anticipate trends, take mitigating actions, monitor financial performance, and make strategic decisions. Ensure the business delivers accurate and timely financial reporting, including pricing, forecasting, S&OP planning and a number of Terex specific metrics. Ensure the business understands the company performance metrics based on performance against a standard costing methodology. Qualifications & Experience Required Degree qualified - preferably an engineering discipline enabling the leader to deploy significant technical as well as commercial expertise. Significant record of success in product design and deep market understanding of the Heavy Equipment market. Experience with Conveyors preferred. Track record of success with product development strategies, driven by understanding market requirements, competitor landscape and the current and future needs of the market. Success in direct and indirect people management, preferably across different functions and different geographies. Effective in strategic and tactical decision making. Comfort around internal leadership and customers Ability to translate market need into a sellable product. Track record of influencing and persuasiveness. A thorough knowledge of how a product line and distribution network operates. Track record of success in coordinating cross-functionally and resolving complex problems. A high level of travel is integral to the role.
