Job Description

The Factory Information System Specialist (FISS) is responsible for ensuring a successful launch of the Factory Information System (FIS) for new and kitted programs found within the Stellantis Vehicle Process Engineering (VPE) environment during all phases of program launch. Participation and support in the implementation of FIS standards and specifications during the design through the launch phase of new products are fundamental to this position.


The FISS is responsible for supporting Line Integrators in understanding the Stellantis VPE CARE FIS Standards and providing key timed deliverables throughout all phases of the launch. The FISS position is also tasked with supporting regular team meetings to review progress and identify potential obstacles, monitoring projects to meet their technical and business objectives, review of lessons learned, solutions to current and past issues, tracking and updating action registers and coordinating work schedules.



Job responsibilities include but are not limited to:



  • Support the execution, deployment and integration of Factory Information System (FIS) across multiple launches

    • (Workbook) Develop FIS event maps, defining common message format and structure
    • Provide Integration Support
    • Develop User Guidelines and design integration support


  • FIS Logic

    • Support the development of trigger logic to drive messages based on system configuration


  • Assist with research and development
  • Stellantis lessons-learned evaluation

    • Research problems experienced in the field (using reference files)
    • Provide standard solutions
    • Provide Proof of Concept

Requirements

Basic Qualifications:



  • Bachelor's degree in computer science / management information systems or equivalent -OR- high school diploma / GED with 5 years Controls experience
  • Strong and proficient project management experience
  • Strong and proficient understanding of PLC Programing: Rockwell Studio 5000 Suite
  • Strong and proficient understanding of HMI Development: Factory Talk View, WinCC or other similar programs
  • Problem solving skills specific to Controls related technology


Preferred Qualifications:



  • Master's degree in a related field
  • 5+ years of Experience with Vehicle Process Engineering and Launch experience with an emphasis on Controls Engineering, IT Engineering, PLC programming and network management
  • Experience leading a team of technicians and engineers
  • Strong and proficient understanding of Controls electrical design CAD software (ePlan /AutoCAD)
  • Experience developing bid packages for new equipment
  • Ability to coordinate the installation of Controls related equipment
  • Innovative thinker with excellent organizational and project management skills
  • Demonstrated team leadership and communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Word, Excel, SharePoint, Access, Outlook and SQL)
  • Self-directed and motivated to implement change within the direction and scope of Stellantis Senior Management
  • Computer programming skills; PLC Programming, Rockwell RS Logix, Siemens TIA Portal
