Ampcus Inc. is a certified global provider of a broad range of Technology and Business consulting services. We are in search of a highly motivated candidate to join our talented Team. Job Title: Senior Programmer Analyst - AI and Emerging Technologies Job Location: Richmond, VA

Note: Candidate Submittals and work history each position should be at a minimum of 1 year or longer with a preference for 2 years per job.

Required Proven experience with:

  • 7 Years of experience in programming and systems analysis.
  • 3 years of experience in GenAI or AI/ML application development.
  • 2 years of experience in DevOps deploying Cloud hosted solutions.
  • Experience in developing Generative AI applications including RAG architecture, and model fine-tuning; experience with Agentic AI is a plus.
  • Full Stack Development
  • Experience in scrum methodology and devsec ops

Primary location of assignment: Thomas Farrell Building - Richmond, VA

What schedule is the candidate required to work: Hybrid Schedule - 1 week onsite/1 week remote

Top Required Skills:

  • Advanced proficiency in .NET, React, Angular, Python, and SQL development.
  • Advanced proficiency in working with SQL Server and Oracle databases and experience working with NoSQL databases.
  • Advanced proficiency in developing applications using Microsoft Power Platform.
  • Experience in developing Generative AI applications including RAG architecture, and model fine-tuning; experience with Agentic AI is a plus.
  • Technical expertise in all aspects of application systems analysis and programming, with proven capability in creating detailed design documents.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work with large and complex datasets.
  • Strong understanding of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning.
  • Experience in deploying AI solutions in cloud environments such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
  • Experience in adapting to and applying rapidly changing technology to business needs. Good understanding of IT security best practices by applying depth and breadth of expertise in multiple related disciplines.
  • Strong organizational skills, ability to effectively manage multiple, competing projects/priorities while achieving targeted completion results.
  • Ability to maintain technical proficiency via self or formal training.
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote, Project, Visio) and SharePoint.

High Level Project Overview:

Candidate will be involved in AI related research and development activities. This includes working closely with IT architects, ITBA Product teams, IT Infrastructure Operations, and Cyber Intelligence and Security teams to evaluate new tools and technologies, develop proof of value (POV) solutions, and implement AI solutions within private cloud environment. Provides technical consulting and/or leadership on complex projects. Serves as technical expert in one or more areas of applications systems analysis and programming. Devises or modifies procedures to solve complex problems. Designs, codes, tests, debugs, and document programs. Works companywide in multi-platform environments, on multi-project assignments. Acts as a project work team or group leader. Guides and advises less experienced Programmer Analysts.

Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate Generative AI solutions from a functional, technical, and risk standpoint.
  • Development and implementation of Gen AI solutions to solve complex business problems and enhance operational efficiency.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate AI solutions into existing systems and workflows.
  • Collaborate with architects to design, code, test, and deploy modular and scalable AI architectures.
  • Ensure the security, performance, and reliability of AI solutions by following coding best practices and performing thorough testing and validation.
  • Lead and mentor less experienced programmers on complex projects.
  • Stay current with industry advancements and continuously seek opportunities to improve AI capabilities within the organization.
  • Responsible for building effective working relationships, making sound decisions, successfully making changes, initiating action and achieving results as a trusted advisor.

Required Years of Experience:

  • 7 Years of experience in programming and systems analysis.
  • 3 years of experience in GenAI or AI/ML application development.
  • 2 years of experience in DevOps deploying Cloud hosted solutions.

Required Education:

  • Bachelor - Business, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Mathematics
  • Prior experience in large data center projects and or AI companies
