THE SALVATION ARMY North and Central Illinois Division JOB DESCRIPTION JOB TITLE: Production and Creative Services Coordinator LOCATION/DEPT: Central Illinois Area Command REPORTS TO: NCI Creative Services Senior Director (with matrix PEOPLE MANAGER: No FLSA CATEGORY: Non-Exempt, Full Time PAY GRADE: 405 PAY RATE: $20.67-$24.80 Hourly WHO WE ARE At The Salvation Army, we are dedicated to "Doing the Most Good". We do this through programs designed to combat homelessness and hunger, provide safe spaces for youth after school and on the weekends, achieve and maintain sobriety, and give hope to the hopeless. The Salvation Army North and Central Illinois Division provides these services to people in need. JOB SUMMARY This position will coordinate with the NCI Creative Services team along with the Tri-County Development team for marketing and communications for the Central Illinois Area Command. By producing powerful photos and videos, we will enhance our ability to tell our story in a meaningful way. We will be supported in our printed and digital communication needs through the creation of quality printed and digital assets and maintenance of their online presence consistent with the determined Salvation Army brand identity and current needs. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Video & Photography (50%) Note: Focus will be 50% Tri-County; 50% remainder of Central Illinois Area Command locations. Video Production
- Produce high-quality videos that effectively communicate The Salvation Army's mission, initiatives, and impact
- Engage and inspire audiences (donors, volunteers, officers, and program participants) through compelling visual storytelling
Photography
- Capture powerful, emotive images that showcase ministry impact
- Manage and develop visual coverage of events, initiatives, and communities served
- Produce high-quality images for promotional materials, campaigns, and media outreach
- Cultivate emotional connection through strong visual storytelling
Social Media (30%)
- Maintain Social Media presence for the Central Illinois Area Command/Tri-County.
- Prepare weekly social media posts for review by Director.
- Design Social Media assets to accompany current promotional directives and local events (i.e., golf promos; National Salvation Army Week; Red Kettle Battle of the Bells, etc.).
- Place weekly social media posts and monitor comments.
- Share comments that may require additional attention with the Director.
Graphic Design (20%)
- Create and Design visually appealing and engaging graphics that effectively convey The Salvation Army's messages across various platforms.
- Create new assets as assigned.
- Ensure standards are effectively followed.
- Updates are consistently made to existing materials.
- Design and deliver printed assets:
- Printed assets will be required for all events; for all promotional opportunities such as information fairs, community presentations, etc.
- Promotional assets include, but are not limited to, fliers, postcards, brochures, program booklets, thank you cards/fliers, and other printed materials
- Design other marketing materials for promotional purposes.
- Work with team to design signage needed.
- Work with Director to design print advertisements, website banners for media site pages, and end slides for commercials.
- Update existing materials.
- Create new materials as required.
Administrative Expectations
- Successfully satisfy the training requirements associated to the position and as required by The Salvation Army.
- Participate in Department and Division meetings as assigned.
- Assist with other duties as assigned and needed.

MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES Education: Bachelor's degree in graphic arts/design or videography/photography is desired; significant related experience may be considered in lieu of a degree. Experience:
- Minimum of two years' experience with video production
- Minimum of two years' experience with computer-based graphic design and corollary programs, including Adobe CC: In-Design, Photoshop, Illustrator, and Premiere
- Knowledge and ability to shoot digital photographic images for high-quality production
Skills/Abilities
- Knowledge of video editing tools (Final Cut Pro, Adobe Premiere Pro, or similar)
- Knowledge of graphic design tools (Adobe Creative Cloud: InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator)
- Ability to capture and produce high-quality digital photography
- Demonstrated ability to use initiative and be a self-starter.
- Ability to work independently once direction has been given.
- Attention to detail.
- A positive attitude and the ability to be flexible in light of changing job situations/priorities.
- An ability to work with confidential material.
JOB LIMITATIONS
- This individual will only commit resources of The Salvation Army that have been allocated or approved.
- This individual will adhere to all policies and procedures in carrying out the responsibilities of this position. The individual will keep the designated Supervisor informed of all critical issues relating to their area of responsibility.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORK ENVIRONMENT
- This position may be required to do light to moderate physical work. Sometimes heavier.
- To successfully perform the essential functions of this position, the employee is regularly required to use standard office equipment including a PC and potentially make public presentations/interactions.
- The work environment for this position includes an office environment with a low to moderate noise level.
- This individual must be able to travel to meet the needs of the position. A valid MVR is required.
REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS
- This position reports to the NCI Creative Servies Senior Director with a matrix management relationship with the Tri-County Development Director.
- For specific projects, will work with Capital Campaign team, Echelon members and Women's Auxiliary members.
- When working with outside contacts related to this position's duties, the individual acts as a representative of The Salvation Army and its mission.

- This individual will be evaluated on how effectively the outcomes of this position are achieved. Timeliness and accuracy of accomplishing assigned goals will be reviewed. An evaluation of how effective service is provided. Performance will also be determined by outcome information provided during weekly staff meetings and monthly reports.
