The Oracle Reporting Analyst is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining reports and dashboards across Oracle Cloud ERP (and related systems) to support business decision-making. This role partners with functional teams and business stakeholders to translate requirements into effective reporting solutions, ensuring data accuracy, consistency, and usability across the enterprise. The analyst will leverage Oracle reporting tools (OTBI, BI Cloud Connector, BI Publisher, Fusion Analytics Warehouse) and other enterprise analytics platforms to meet both operational and strategic reporting needs. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of Oracle ERP data structures, functional business processes, and analytics best practices, coupled with technical skills in SQL, data modeling, and visualization.

Required Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in related area and/or equivalent experience/training
* 3+ years of experience with relational databases, SQL, or system development life-cycle projects; and/or equivalent experience/training
* Demonstrated advanced problem-solving skills and ability to learn quickly and meet deadlines
* 3+ years of experience as a Reporting Analyst or equivalent role supporting Oracle Cloud Supply Chain Management, Human Capital Management, or Financials
* Ability to independently prepare complex data models
* Ability to understand and model complex, knowledge-intensive processes and Oracle ERP data structures (Finance, SCM, Research, or HCM)
* Proficiency in SQL and data analysis
* Knowledge of Oracle Fusion Analytics Warehouse (FAW), Oracle Analytics Cloud (OAC), or Enterprise Performance Management (EPM) reporting
* Ability to translate business needs into technical reporting requirements
* Familiarity with complex logical data design, data mapping, and data conversion, particularly in higher education or healthcare reporting environments
* Familiarity with complex data quality and governance issues and requirements
* Advanced knowledge of Oracle reporting tools (BI Publisher, OTBI), practices, and standards
* Demonstrated effective communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to communicate technical information to both technical and nontechnical audiences at various organizational levels

Preferred Qualifications
* 1+ year of experience in an organization comparable to UCSF in budget, size, complexity, scope of operations, and accounting systems
* Knowledge of supply chain, human capital management, or finance systems and processes within a healthcare environment
* Oracle certifications
* Lean Six Sigma Black Belt (LSSBB)
* Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
* Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP) certification

Salary Information


The final salary and offer components are subject to additional approvals based on UC policy.


Your placement within the salary range is dependent on a number of factors including your work experience and internal equity within this position classification at UCSF. For positions that are represented by a labor union, placement within the salary range will be guided by the rules in the collective bargaining agreement.
