Summary:

Presbyterian Healthcare Services (PHS) seeks a visionary, high-impact executive to serve as the Director, HR Business Partner (HRBP). This individual will serve as the primary strategic architect for human capital within their assigned divisions, acting as a vital bridge between corporate HR strategy and divisional execution.

As the organization navigates an increasingly complex healthcare and business landscape, the Director will move beyond traditional personnel management to serve as a Strategic Consultant to senior executive leadership. This role is designed for a leader who thrives on data-driven decision-making, organizational diagnosis, and the cultivation of high-performance cultures.

The successful candidate will be an authentic, values-driven leader capable of managing a team of HR specialists while simultaneously providing white-glove executive coaching and counsel to C-suite partners.

Job Description:

Strategic Consulting: Participate in business strategy and planning meetings with the Executive Leadership Team to provide forward-looking counsel on human resource implications.

Service Delivery Management: Coordinate with HR COEs (Compensation, Benefits, Talent Acquisition) to ensure the high-level outcomes of the division are met.

Executive Talent Support: Coordinate executive search and selection processes for the division; provide executive coaching to leaders to enhance leadership density.

Policy & Governance: Participate in the development of corporate and divisional policies, ensuring alignment with the organization's mission and legal requirements.

Operational Oversight: Manage HR specialists assigned to the business unit, providing performance coaching and ensuring alignment with the Director of Employee Relations.

Knowledge Synthesis: Actively share best practices across the HRBP community to ensure the organization remains a learning system.

Additional Job Description:

Education & Certification

  • Bachelor's Degree required (preferably in HR, Business Administration, or Organizational Development).

  • Master's degree (MBA/MHA) or SPHR/SHRM-SCP certification is highly preferred.

Knowledge and Work Experience

  • Strategic Acumen: Proven experience integrating corporate strategy with divisional human capital needs.

  • Consultative Approach: Ability to diagnose complex organizational issues and prescribe effective, sustainable interventions.

  • Analytical Proficiency: Experience using HRIS data and workforce analytics to influence executive decision-making.

  • Leadership Depth: A track record of managing professional-level HR staff and navigating complex, matrixed environments.

  • Communication: Exceptional "boardroom presence" with the ability to facilitate high-stakes planning sessions and provide candid executive feedback.

  • Relationship Management: Ability to balance the interests of multiple constituents while maintaining a "People First" orientation.
