General Job Description Job Summary KEP, a subsidiary of IES Residential, is hiring Electrical Apprentices in Columbus, Ohio. This is a great opportunity to gain hands-on experience in residential electrical work while learning from experienced electricians in a safety-focused, team-oriented environment. What You'll Do Assist with residential electrical installations (wiring, outlets, lighting, panels, etc.) Measure, cut, and install conduit using hand and power tools Support installation of service equipment and underground conduit Troubleshoot basic electrical issues under supervision Maintain a clean and safe work environment Follow all safety guidelines, PPE requirements, and electrical codes Minimum Education None Minimum Years of Experience 0-2 Specific Qualifications Requirements 1-2 years of electrical experience preferred (trade school a plus) Basic knowledge of NEC and residential construction practices Strong work ethic and willingness to learn Valid driver's license with clean driving record Reliable transportation Must pass a drug screen and background check Ability to communicate effectively in English (reading, writing, and speaking) Physical Requirements Lift and carry up to 50 lbs Frequent standing, bending, kneeling, and climbing ladders Ability to work at heights and in tight spaces Work Environment Residential construction job sites Indoor and outdoor work Exposure to heat, cold, humidity, and rain Team-based environment working with experienced electricians License Required Yes Job Locations US-OH-Columbus Company Overview IES is a national provider of industrial products and infrastructure services to a variety of end markets, including electrical, mechanical and communications contracting solutions for the commercial, industrial, residential and renewable energy markets.
