Summary:

Responsibilities:

• Deliver an exceptional, welcoming patient experience using strong communication skills and effective servicerecovery techniques.

• Complete accurate patient registration, including demographics, insurance verification, and thorough documentation.

• Educate patients on insurance benefits, financial responsibilities, and available financial assistance programs.

• Collect patient financial obligations at the time of service and ensure accounts are financially cleared.

• Maintain compliance with payer guidelines, Medicare (CMS) requirements, and organizational policies.

• Support data accuracy, productivity goals, and quality improvement efforts.

• Demonstrate professionalism, empathy, and a commitment to highquality customer service in every interaction.

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.

• 6 months experience in a healthcare setting or 1 year of customer service experience.

Preferred Qualifications

• CHAA, CHAM, or similar industry certification.

• Basic understanding of insurance, medical terminology, and billing codes (DRG, ICD10, CPT, HCPCS).

• Familiarity with healthcare registration processes.

• Strong keyboarding and dataentry skills.

• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products.

• Ability to pass the Patient Access Academy within 6 months of hire (85% or higher).

• Ability to pass the EPIC proficiency test with a score of 85% at the end of training.
