Job Summary:
This is an exciting opportunity to join the Assay Services Unit of the Wisconsin National Primate Research Center (WNPRC). Assay Services is one of four research service units at the WNPRC, and focuses on the development, validation, and analysis of biological samples for a wide variety of hormones, neurotransmitters, and biomakers for primate (nonhuman and human) research. The Assay Services Unit seeks a highly motivated individual to participate in the high throughput analyses of human and nonhuman primate hormonal samples. The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills, mature work habits, a desire to learn, and the ability to work independently in a team environment. Responsibilities include, but may not be limited to, setting up solvent extractions and running biological samples for LC-MS/ MS. Additional duties will include statistical analyses, computer record-keeping, general lab maintenance, and the use of online databases, graphic programs, and Microsoft products, such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Education: Bachelor's degree required. Preferred areas of specialization may include biomedical fields, chemistry, biochemistry, neuroscience, or endocrinology.
