Inova Mount Vernon Hospital is looking for a dedicated Supervisor Clinical Imaging (Xray) to join the team. This role will be a Full Time Day Shift, Monday - Friday 8:00am - 4:30pm. Sign-on Bonus & Relocation assistance eligible.

Supervisor Clinical Imaging (Xray) Job Responsibilities:

  • The Imaging Clinical Supervisor assists in continuous performance improvement within the department in order to maintain optimal quality patient care.

  • Coordinates the overall workflow of the department to ensure quality patient care, efficient and timely processes, and customer satisfaction.

  • Demonstrates a thorough knowledge and understanding of radiation protection and safety principles and procedures. Demonstrates a thorough understanding of Imaging principles and techniques.

  • Manages the overall operations of the section.

  • Oversees and assists team members in assigned functional area, which may include but is not limited to, ensuring the team is meeting key deliverables and quality standards, addressing and resolving challenges, managing and tracking performance, and assisting in time management and scheduling; escalates issues to senior leaders as needed.

  • May perform additional duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Education: Associate degree or Graduate of an accredited school/program of Radiology

  • Certification:

    • Basic Life Support from the American Heart Association upon start

    • Must be certified by at least one of the following:

      • American Registered Radiologic Technologists or American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography or CNT or Cardiovascular Technology or Nuclear Medicine Technology or Registered Vascular Technology or Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists; as applicable

      • Additional certification in an applicable imaging modality required within 18 months of hire.

  • Experience: Three years of imaging experience in a hospital/healthcare environment with experience in Xray.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience: Three years' leadership experience in a hospital/healthcare environment with a diagnostic testing department.
