Senior Accountant

Senior Accountant - Cost (Tampa, FL): Maintain and improve upon existing cost accounting functions in support of mfg ops and functional depts. Ensure adherence to monthly & quarterly close process and timeline, oversee entries to general ledger and account reconciliations and analysis. Work closely w Mill Division Controllers and Mill Accountants and assist Corp Acctg Mgr - Cost and Sr. Mgr Accounting Ops in cost accounting functions of the Corp Office, working w locations on control self-assessments for Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) and internal audit and assisting w prep of material for external auditors. Provide impartial financial analysis and guidance, decision support, and development of financial acumen across the organization. Maintain accurate costing methodology in the ERP System (SAP). Maintain and improve costing methodology and KPI reporting for inventory and mgt cost reporting (P&L). Maintain std cost system to ensure accuracy of inventory valuation and participate in annual mfg cost std updates and analyze variance to stds. Monitor inventory transactions and processes to ensure accuracy and compliance with corporate policies. Monthly mfg and overhead variance research, analysis and reporting, incl labor/overhead absorption by product lines. Prepare and analyze dept expense variances (actual to budgets/forecasts), monthly revenues & associated gross margin analysis. Identify potential issues and coordinate resolution/problem solving with other functional teams. General ledger reconciliation responsibility of all inventory and cost of goods sold accounts. Coordinate required inventory reserves and ensure compliance w periodic cycle counts and physical inventory and reconcile results. Assist with documentation and compliance w Sarbanes-Oxley. Req: Bachelors degree (or foreign degree equiv) in Acctg, Finance, or closely related field and 5 yrs progressive exp in cost and general accounting principles in a multi-divisional and multinational mfg org, incl but not limited to intra-company transfers, intercompany reconciliations, profit inventory analysis and month end close for the costing process in SAP; 5 yrs SAP Cost Controlling (CO) exp incl cost ctr, cost SKU, profit ctrs, cycles, loading budgets, activity hours; 5 yrs Inventory Mgt system exp: cycle counts, full physical inventory, T code tracking inventory; 5 yrs exp w Excel, Powerpoint and Power BI, incl vlookup, hlookup, pivot tables, complex formulas, spreadsheet linking; 3 yrs exp w acctg software and systems, incl SAP and SAP BW; 3 yrs exp in Financial and Inventory Analysis across global business ops; 3 yrs Sarbanes Oxley (SOX) exp incl quarterly and year end audit support; 3 yrs exp w Intl Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
