Position Summary

POSITION SUMMARY

As a Product Sales Manager, you will drive division sales growth and profitability by executing strategic initiatives and delivering best-in-class support to customers and distributors. You will lead product-focused efforts including new product development support, competitive, and market analysis, sales and product training, and the development and management of target account programs. You will also manage moderately complex projects and programs to ensure on-time, high-impact results.

Responsibilities

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Make recommendations and evaluations on new product opportunities.
  • Conduct periodic market and competitive analysis.
  • Develop and revise commercial proposals, product literature, catalogs, technical bulletins, etc.
  • Maintain up-to-date records, by customer, for ready retrieval.
  • Facilitate exchange of information between engineering and customers.
  • Assist in the development of pricing, product and positioning strategies.
  • Leads the development of project/program plans covering mature and new product development programs. Participates in project planning efforts; directs all phases of projects throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Organizes and leads projects/programs by defining and identifying required expertise; provides feedback on contribution and performance to team members and/or their direct manager if in a matrix role. Responsible for plans, budgets, staffing, training, and development of direct staff.
  • In-depth knowledge of aerospace commercial or military contracting and procurement requirements and understanding of financial and labor cost systems and production processes.

This position reports directly to the Business Development Manager and is based in Greensboro, NC.

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree (BS) in preferably in Engineering, Engineering Technology, Business or Related Business Management.
  • 5 plus years' experience in field sales of related industry
  • Individual should be highly organized with the ability to follow project through to completion.
  • Previous experience with new product launches and new product commercialization.


  • Travel up to 25% to customer site(s), sales conferences, and trade shows, as required.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

  • Knowledgeable in manufacturing process and a background in design.
  • Strong computer skills (Microsoft Office Applications)
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong analytical skills.
