We are seeking resumes for a Business Analyst position in the Los Angeles-Vernon, CA area. The primary purpose of the job is to gain experience in the corrugated industry to become a Plant Accountant or Plant Controller at a PCA location. This position offers an excellent opportunity for future advancement.



Principle Accountabilities:


Work closely with the Area Controller and local Plant Controller to proactively provide information that will help the plant increase revenue and improve profitability, as well as respond to specific requests from the management team.


Perform monthly analysis and reporting of financial performance.


Understand and communicate revenue details, product and customer profitability reporting, financial analysis of proposed products, customers, and business models with pricing and cost data.


Accounts payable, invoicing, accounts receivable, payroll, general ledger, and month end close.


Qualifications:



  • BS degree in accounting required.
  • 1-5 years of accounting experience.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and advocacy skills, and the ability to work both independently and in a team environment.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Broad understanding of accounting principles, theories, concepts, and practices.
  • Experience using Microsoft Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word.
  • Some travel to other PCA locations will be required. At times this may be up to 25%-40%
  • Willingness to relocate to other operating locations in California or beyond, for future promotion opportunities.



Preferred Qualifications:
Manufacturing experience is a plus.

Must be able to work well under pressure and within time constraints, multi-task, and build sound relationships with both internal and external customers.
Must exhibit excellent communication, analytical, organizational and computer skills.
Must be capable of independently making sound decisions through creative problem-solving.
Must be capable of working with ambiguity and change.


COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS




  • Starting salary range for position: $70,400 - 105,600.
  • Bonus: Annual - Based upon individual contribution and overall, Company performance.
  • Paid Vacation: Three (3) weeks per calendar year. Pro-rata Vacation during the initial year of hire based upon start date within the calendar year.


  • Paid Holidays.
  • Within the first 30 days of employment, an employee (and their dependents) is eligible to enroll in certain benefit coverages -- medical, dental, and vision - and are automatically enrolled in life, AD&D, and disability coverages.
  • Upon hire, an employee is automatically enrolled in the 401k plan. The plan offers both pre-tax and Roth contribution options along with employer provided matching contributions.
