Job Summary The Firing Range Laborer provides logistical and material support for firearms training operations. This position is responsible for the receipt, movement, storage, and accountability of firearms-related training materials, equipment, and supplies in support of daily training activities. The role ensures materials are properly handled, tracked, and distributed in accordance with established safety, security, and accountability procedures.

**CONTINGENT UPON CONTRACT AWARD**

Role and Responsibilities
  • Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments of firearms-related equipment, training materials, and supplies.
  • Load, unload, transport, and stage materials between storage areas, armories, and training ranges.
  • Maintain organization and accountability of controlled equipment and materials in designated storage locations.
  • Assist with issuing and receiving equipment in support of firearms training operations.
  • Support inventory management activities including stock counts, documentation, and tracking of materials.
  • Prepare materials and equipment for training events, transport, or storage.
  • Operate material handling equipment such as pallet jacks, hand trucks, or forklifts as authorized.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of storage areas, armories, and support spaces.
  • Follow all safety, security, and accountability procedures related to handling controlled equipment.
  • Coordinate with rangemasters, instructors, and logistics personnel to support training schedules.
  • Report damaged, missing, or unserviceable equipment to supervisory personnel.

Required Qualifications and Education
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Experience in warehouse operations, logistics, or material handling preferred.
  • Ability to follow established safety, security, and accountability procedures.
  • Ability to operate or obtain certification on material handling equipment.
  • Basic recordkeeping and inventory tracking skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced operational environment.
Work authorization/security clearance requirements
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain required FLETC access credentials.
Physical Demands/Work Environment
  • Work is performed in warehouse, armory, and firearms training support environments.
  • Frequent standing, walking, bending, stooping, and lifting throughout the workday.
  • Regular handling, movement, and storage of firearms-related equipment, training materials, and supplies in accordance with established procedures.
  • Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull materials weighing up to 50-75 pounds, with assistance when required.
  • Operation of material handling equipment such as pallet jacks, hand trucks, or forklifts as authorized.
  • Work may occur both indoors and outdoors, including support to firearms training ranges.
  • Exposure to loud noise environments associated with firearms training; hearing protection is required when applicable.
  • Exposure to moving equipment, secured storage areas, and controlled-access environments.
  • May be required to work in varying weather conditions when supporting outdoor training or transport activities.
  • Must adhere to all safety, security, and accountability procedures related to handling controlled equipment and materials.
  • Required use of personal protective equipment (PPE) as applicable to the work environment.
  • Travel: 0-15%
