Position Overview The Patient Care Coordinator acts as a key liaison between patients, healthcare providers, and external facilities. This role is responsible for coordinating care activities such as referrals, scheduling, medications, and authorizations while ensuring patients receive timely, accurate, and empathetic support throughout their treatment process. Key Responsibilities * Serve as the primary point of contact for patient questions related to referrals, lab work, imaging, medications, and treatment plans * Coordinate care with healthcare providers, facilities, pharmacies, and insurance partners to ensure timely delivery of services * Schedule patient appointments and manage requests using appropriate systems and resources * Communicate status updates to patients and partner facilities regarding labs, imaging, and procedures * Maintain accurate and uptodate patient records, including demographics and documented interactions * Utilize critical thinking to resolve scheduling, authorization, or care coordination issues * Monitor patient satisfaction and escalate concerns when appropriate * Deliver professional, empathetic service in all written and verbal communications * Perform additional duties as assigned Required & Preferred Qualifications * High school diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree preferred * 2+ years of experience in customer service or a healthcare setting preferred * 1+ year of experience using EHR systems (athenaOne preferred) * Solid understanding of medical terminology and insurance processes * Experience working remotely in a highvolume phone environment preferred * Strong communication, organizational, and problemsolving skills * Proficiency with Google Workspace and Microsoft Office * Ability to multitask, manage time effectively, and maintain attention to detail * Patientfocused mindset with a commitment to confidentiality and HIPAA compliance Work Environment * 100% Remote * Must reside and work in PST or MST time zones Compensation * Pay Rate: $22.00 - $26.00 per hour * Overtime: Paid at 1.5x * Contract Length: 2 months Benefits (Eligibility Requirements Apply) * Medical, dental, and vision insurance * 401(k) retirement plan (pretax and Roth options) * Life insurance and AD&D coverage * Short and longterm disability * Health Savings Account (HSA) * Employee Assistance Program (EAP) * Paid time off and leave options Why You'll Enjoy This Role * Fully remote work with strong worklife balance * Supportive, teamoriented culture and approachable leadership * Entrylevel opportunity to gain handson healthcare experience * Meaningful, patientfocused work in a growing organization Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Boise, ID. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $22.00 - $26.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
