Summary

This position has primary responsibility for managing and supporting SouthState's complex business applications which fall outside of the core banking portfolio. Collaboration with other areas of IT and the business units utilizing these applications is required. Serve as a technical resource/subject matter expert on new technology implementations utilizing excellent communication, analytical, problem-solving and negotiation skills to assist the business in making sound technology decisions. Supports projects through discovery, testing, change management, and post-implementation support phases of projects. The incumbent will serve as a mentor and resource for the junior members on the team and may be called upon to act as a Team Lead when the manager is unavailable.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Administer, configure, and maintain multiple complex enterprise-level applications to ensure optimal performance, security, and reliability.

  • Proactively monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues, ensuring timely resolution to minimize downtime and business disruptions in accordance with SLA goals. Leverages incident management to report high and major degradations/outages.

  • Perform system analysis on configuration and functional specifications to design and develop solutions to meet end user requirements.

  • Document standard operating procedures, system changes, technical specifications, and user manuals as needed for portfolio of applications to ensure consistency in support and operations.

  • Work collaboratively with IT Risk Management & Governance regarding routine audits and security assessments/remediations to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies.

  • Plan, coordinate/conduct, and document thorough testing of applications to ensure functionality, performance, and compliance to the Bank's security practices and protocols

  • Ensure changes within area of responsibility are properly tested, qualified, documented and implemented successfully in accordance with the Bank's change management standards/practices.

  • Work collaboratively to meet strategic objectives, regulatory compliance, risk management requirements and ensure industry leading best practices are leveraged effectively.

Qualifications

Education Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field strongly preferred.

Minimum Experience

  • 8+ years' experience working with IT applications and support in a production environment. Prior banking experience preferred.

  • 6+ years' experience executing production system changes

  • Prior experience working in an IT Service Management System required (ServiceNow, or equivalent) strongly preferred.

Licenses & Certifications

  • Intermediate and Advanced certification preferred for Microsoft Windows Server Hybrid Administration, CompTIA Security +, Server+, Data+. Experience with MS Suite of Applications including advanced Visio Drawing ability strongly preferred. Prior experience working in

Hybrid positions will report to a physical Company location, as directed by the manager, and that setting will be a typical office environment.

In accordance with Colorado law: Colorado pay for this position is anticipated to be between $85,153.00 - $136,024.00 , actual offers to be determined based on applicant's skills, experience and education.
