Responsibilities

As a Sr. Project Manager, you are responsible for overseeing the Project Management team in directing in-house crews and subcontractors. You believe in doing the job right. Being the best. And you're up for the challenge.

In addition, you will:

  • Lead end-to-end project delivery for fiber engineering programs, from concept through implementation.
  • Manage and mentor teams of current domestic and potential offshore engineering vendors, ensuring collaboration, efficiency, and technical excellence.
  • Serve as the primary customer interface, maintaining strong relationships, leading project reviews, and providing technical guidance.
  • Develop and maintain detailed project plans, budgets, and schedules, ensuring adherence to milestones and deliverables.
  • Oversee quality assurance processes for all design packages and engineering documentation.
  • Coordinate with construction, permitting, and operations teams to ensure design accuracy and constructability.
  • Lead weekly meetings with the client and project team.
  • Assign resources to projects and direct them on the overall tasks needed to be completed.
  • Submit each project for billing once complete.
  • Collaborate with other members of your staff to ensure a seamlessflow through the fielding, design, and QC process.
  • Evaluate team members and develop performance improvement plans.
  • Develop tools and practices to monitor team productivity. Compile and deliver productivity reports to supervisor.
  • Perform other duties as required and/or assigned.

Qualifications

About You:

  • Must have a solid knowledge of aerial and underground telecommunications outside and inside plant with competency in telecom technologies, networks, and business processes.
  • Outside Plant Construction knowledge preferred.
  • Experience managing vendors and previous supervisory experience.
  • In-depth understanding of fiber architectures such as FTTH, FTTx, Metro, Rural, Long Haul, and Backbone.
  • You have advanced experience with ESRI/GIS systems and processes
  • You have advanced experience with autodesign technologies, such as, IQGeo Comsof or Biarri.
  • You have a track record of completing work with a high level of quality
  • You have a knack for figuring out hard problems and enjoy a hands-on approach to your work
  • You are looking for long-term projects
  • Possess a High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Degree in Engineering preferred.
  • Must be willing to travel 25%
  • You have advanced experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Advanced experience in schedule management.
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment handling multiple tasks.
  • Possess good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Able to read workprints accurately.
  • Able to communicate progress, highlight issues, and provide recommendations to senior leadership
