| Job Description |
The purpose of the Financial Aid Assistant position is to provide administrative and clerical support for Financial Aid Department units, assist students, and provide customer service for in-person visitors and by-phone. Duties include, but are not limited to, preparing mailings, reports and other documents; answering in-person, telephone and e-mail inquiries; data entry and information retrieval; maintaining files, including scanning records; and performing other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Employees of Harford Community College, including instructors for online and virtual courses, must be residents of Maryland or the contiguous states of Delaware, Pennsylvania, Virginia, West Virginia or the District of Columbia; non-residents are expected to relocate to meet this requirement.

High school diploma or
GED equivalent. |
| Required Experience |
Minimum of 1 year of administrative support experience. |
| Required Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities |
- Strong attention to detail with accurate data entry
- Excellent organizational and communication skills are required.
- Ability to provide customer service for in-person visitors and over the phone
- Intermediate knowledge in a Windows-based computer environment, including Office 365, MS Word and Excel

| Preferred Qualifications |
- Associate degree or higher
- Experience working with databases and/or experience with financial assistance preferred.

4 days per week, with shifts scheduled from 9:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m. and 12:00 p.m.-5:00 p.m. |
