The Deposit Ops Specialist is primarily responsible for DDA and CD account requests; this includes opening and closing of the accounts, quality review of all new CD/Safe Deposit Box account setups and maintenance performed by other lines of business. Safe Deposit Box payments are processed and balanced using the Accounting Balancing (ICAP) System. Other functions include resolving customer issues, assisting in tax reporting as it relates to IRS tax guidelines and regulations. Monitors dormant and inactive account activity to ensure the validity of the transaction, determine dormancy on returned statements, and maintain dormant accounts until the account is escheated to the Tax Commission. Education & Experience Requirements
This level of knowledge is normally acquired through completion of an associate degree in business administration or accounting and 1-2 years related experience or 3-4 years' equivalent work-related experience.
