Organization Overview The Facilities & Operations (F&O) Directorate's mission is to support the science and technology missions of the Laboratory by providing a safe, environmentally sound, and reliable infrastructure, to provide high quality crafts and fabrication services to our customers as needed and to protect people, property, and national security. Position Description: We seek a Construction Safety Engineer to provide expertise, guidance, support, and leadership on construction safety and construction equipment matters both in the field and at the program level. Assisting the subject matter expert, the Construction Safety Engineer will maintain, implement, and improve institutional construction programs, policies, procedures, and requirements for conformance with Laboratory objectives, applicable regulations, and construction industry best practices. The candidate will resolve conflicts related to applicable safety requirements by working cohesively with construction staff and contractors and providing solution-oriented service.
