Job Responsibilities

  • Design and develop guided diagnostic procedures for heavyduty commercial vehicle electronic systems within an offboard diagnostics platform.
  • Create, document, and implement diagnostic algorithms, software components, and user interfaces.
  • Develop software using a visual logic development environment following Agile methodologies.
  • Provide engineering support during product launches at manufacturing facilities.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the quality, reliability, and usability of diagnostic systems.
  • Partner with crossfunctional teams-including manufacturing, service, product development, IT, suppliers, and validation-to ensure smooth deployment of effective, userfocused diagnostic tools.
  • Collaborate with globally distributed engineering teams to meet international requirements and deliver localized content where necessary.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience with automotive electronic systems, including substantial handson work with on and offboard diagnostics.
  • Familiarity with automotive or commercial vehicle communication networks such as CAN, SAE J1939, and LIN (preferred).
  • Proficiency in objectoriented software development; experience with one or more languages such as Python, Java, C++, C#, JavaScript/TypeScript, Ruby, or Swift is highly valued.
  • Ability to excel in a fastpaced, resultsdriven team environment.
  • Strong analytical, problemsolving, and communication skills (both written and verbal).
  • Experience producing technical documentation, including simplified drawings and diagrams for production and service teams (highly valued).
  • Willingness to travel domestically or internationally up to 5%.

At PACCAR, we value talent and promote growth and development. We carefully consider numerous compensation factors including your education, training, or experience. The salary range for this role is $100,100.00 - $156,600.00 annually. This position is also eligible for a holiday gift. Additionally, this role is eligible for the full range of benefit options listed above.
