Overview
Apogee has an exciting opportunity for a Program Manager SME in support of the M-Code Aviation Receivers Joint Program Office (MAR JPO) at Warner Robins AFB, GA. These positions support critical GPS User Equipment modernization programs, including MAGR-2K, EGI, R-EGI, SDUE, and advanced antenna systems. The MAR JPO manages a $22 billion acquisition portfolio, developing, producing, testing, modifying, fielding, and supporting Air Force ISR and SOF platforms. These are full-time positions located at Warner Robins Air Force Base (AFB).
Responsibilities
Serve as senior program manager for major ACAT I, II, or III acquisition programs
- Manage multiple concurrent pre-award, modernization, production, and sustainment projects
- Develop and execute acquisition strategies for GPS User Equipment modernization programs
- Prepare acquisition milestone documents, including Acquisition Strategy Plans (ASPs), Early Strategy & Issues Sessions (ESIS), and milestone decision packages
- Conduct market research, source selection support, and proposal evaluations
- Develop and manage resource-loaded Integrated Master Schedules (IMS)
- Lead program risk management activities and mitigation planning
- Coordinate receiver and platform integration efforts with DoD aircraft customers
- Support Production Readiness Reviews and Manufacturing Readiness Assessments (MRAs)
- Develop technical contract requirements documents (PWS, CDRL, QASP, SRD)
- Participate in Technical Interchange Meetings (TIMs), program reviews, and design reviews
- Manage requirements traceability and prioritization
- Support Foreign Military Sales (FMS) planning and execution
- Provide senior leadership advocacy briefings and respond to higher headquarters taskers
- Lead trade studies for modernization approaches and technology insertion
- Coordinate with the Navy, Coast Guard, and Army for joint service GPS requirements
- Manage contractor performance and ensure quality deliverables
- Support logistics and sustainment planning for fielded systems
Qualifications
Minimum Experience: Citizenship: Must be a US citizen Clearance: Must possess and maintain a Top Secret/SCI clearance Certification: Project Management Professional (PMP) or APDP Program Management Level 3 certification Education: Bachelor's Degree in an engineering or related technical field Years of Experience: 15 years of DoD acquisition experience with at least 5 years as a Program Manager Additional experience:
- In-depth knowledge of GPS/GNSS systems, navigation warfare, and PNT capabilities
- Experience managing ACAT I or II programs strongly preferred
- Demonstrated experience with Defense Acquisition System and DoDI 5000.02
- Strong leadership and team management capabilities
- Excellent communication skills for executive-level briefings
