Overview

The Warehouse Supervisor oversees and coordinates daily warehouse activities at the assigned warehouse(s) such as ordering, receiving, and storing assigned product groups, while assuring safety standards are used which comply with all company, local, city, state, and federal guidelines. Assigned products may include packaged lubricants, bulk lubricants and/or inventory parts. This supervisor also supports vehicle service and repair and delivers product as needed.

Responsibilities



  • Maintain adequate working inventory of bulk and packaged lubricants.
  • Rotate stock utilizing FIFO (First In, First Out)
  • Schedule orders with suppliers and coordinate pickup/delivery with other supervisors and drivers.
  • Depending on the assigned product type:

    • Coordinate picking, palletizing, and staging of packaged lubricants and inventory items and schedule delivery to BP / LP locations. OR
    • Order bulk lubricant tanks and tank decals as required, and schedule timely deliveries of bulk lubricants and DEF.


  • Keep up to date on federal, state, and local government regulations regarding product storage and maintenance of equipment and facilities.
  • Cross-train additional team members to ensure uninterrupted supply chain.
  • Maintain company fleet vehicles to comply with all state and federal DOT regulations including driver logs, inspections and other items representing liability and legal requirements.
  • Assist with service and repair of vehicles assigned to the warehouse location.
  • Deliver products to customer and plant locations.
  • Ensure the quality and integrity of our lubricant products when loading and unloading bulk oil trucks.
  • Adhere to all MFA Oil Company safety standards & procedures, state and federal transportation laws, and other related regulations at the warehouse location and while driving company vehicle.
  • Provide feedback to supervisor regarding customer needs, route efficiencies and safety for both trucks and equipment.
  • Inspect customer installations assuring safe, dependable operation. Report any issues to supervisor.
  • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections and report any truck safety issues immediately to supervisor.
  • Supervise assigned employees, including planning and organizing employees and work, providing clear direction; training, developing and motivating employees, enforcing company policies and safety requirements, monitoring productivity, and resolving conflict in a timely manner.
  • Recommend the employment, discipline, wage adjustments, and termination of personnel.
  • Maintain a clean and organized warehouse, ensuring safety standards are met.
  • Ensure employees follow posted work schedule and adhere to proper clocking procedures to accurately reflect hours worked.
  • All MFA Oil employees are expected to know and adhere to company and position specific policies and procedures. While this job description contains the primary duties of the position, employees may be expected to perform other duties as assigned.


Job Requirements



  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 1 year of experience in distribution or warehouse operations
  • Ability and willingness to obtain a Class A or Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with tanker, HAZMAT, and air brake endorsements within the first 90 days of employment, and maintain all Department of Transportation (DOT) requirements per the vehicle requirements
  • Ability to pass in person training and MFA Oil Company's Record of Road test requiring operation of both manual and automatic transmission vehicles within 90 days of employment
  • Ability and willingness to become propane (PEP) certified as determined by the state(s) served
  • Ability and willingness to obtain a forklift operator's license within 90 days/months.
  • Ability to safely operate automatic and manual transmission vehicles in a variety of weather and road conditions
  • Ability to move and position self to move and retrieve products and supplies from shelves, under counters or stacks of inventory weighing up to 75 pounds. (Applicable for supervisors handling packaged lubricant and/or inventory parts product groups.)
  • Ability to lift 25-pound boxes to a height of 3-4 feet and load them into trucks
  • Ability to ascend and descend ladders.
  • Vision, hearing, speech, and the ability to detect odors.
  • Ability to work in outdoor weather conditions.
  • Ability and willingness to work with hazardous materials.
  • Ability to consistently operate a computer and other office productivity machinery including Microsoft Office products and a handheld delivery tracking device.
  • Ability to learn new concepts and use technical materials.
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively in a team.
  • Ability to provide accurate and thorough work with attention to detail.
  • Ability to multi-task and context-switch effectively between different activities and teams
  • Demonstrated ability to meet and manage multiple deadlines.
  • Ability to motivate employees under direct supervision, evaluate performance and assist in personal and professional development.
  • Valid driver's license
  • Ability to exchange accurate information verbally and in written form with the customers of MFA Oil in English.
  • Ability to meet company requirements including successful pre-employment drug screening, MVR, and criminal background check.
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States of America.


Preferred Skills



  • JD Edwards, Energy Force, Energy Service, or other major ERP system experience.
  • Ability to grasp new concepts quickly and work at a fast pace.
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Ability to thrive in a fast paced, growing organization and rapidly changing environment.
  • Class A or Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with tanker, HAZMAT, and air brake endorsements.
