IAM Business Analyst - Privileged Access Management Overview We are seeking an *IAM Business Analyst* to support and accelerate ongoing initiatives within a *Privileged Access Management (PAM)* program. This role focuses on *service account governance*, security standards alignment, and cross-team coordination to strengthen identity and access controls across the enterprise.
The analyst will work closely with *security engineers, developers, business units, and vendors*, contributing to both *process improvement and execution*. This is a highly collaborative role that requires flexibility, strong organization skills, and comfort working in evolving, fast-moving initiatives already underway. Key Responsibilities * Support enterprise *Privileged Access Management (PAM)* initiatives with a focus on service accounts * Lead and assist with *service account cleanup efforts*, including: * Identifying undocumented, dormant, or misused accounts * Performing *LDAP queries* and directory analysis * Flagging accounts for remediation or deletion with clear rationale * Drive cleanup and ownership clarification for *shared service accounts*: * Identify owning teams and appropriate usage * Validate correct ownership, access levels, and configurations * Help define, socialize, and enforce *service account standards* aligned with *NIST guidelines* * Translate security standards into actionable guidance for: * Application teams * System owners * End users and shared service groups * Facilitate *organizational change management*, communication, and stakeholder alignment * Partner with technical teams to support *automation, tooling enhancements, and process improvements* * Gather requirements, perform impact analysis, and document current and future-state processes * Assist with project logistics including roadmaps, sequencing work in phases ("waves"), identifying gaps, and tracking progress Active Project Focus Areas * *Service Account Cleanup* * LDAP analysis and validation * Identifying dormant, undocumented, or risky accounts * Supporting decisions on remediation and deletion * *Enterprise Shared Service Accounts* * Ownership clarification * Usage justification and validation * Alignment with security expectations * *Service Account Standards & Compliance* * Aligning with NIST standards * Communicating expectations and accountability * Helping teams understand what compliance means for their role Required Skills * Identity & Access Management (IAM) concepts * Privileged Access Management (PAM) experience * Business Analysis or Systems Analysis experience * Strong data analysis skills (Excel, IAM tools, Active Directory / LDAP directories) * Experience working with highly confidential or sensitive data * Requirement gathering, documentation, and impact analysis * Strong written and verbal communication skills, including technical documentation Preferred Skills * Experience with *CyberArk*, *HashiCorp Vault*, or similar PAM tools * Familiarity with *PowerShell* or automation initiatives * Experience collaborating with security and engineering teams * Project coordination and roadmap planning experience Additional Attributes * Flexible "*plugin*" team player able to shift priorities as needed * Comfortable navigating ambiguity and coordinating across multiple teams * Able to translate complex security concepts into clear, actionable guidance Experience Level * *Intermediate level* (3+ years of relevant analysis or IAM-related experience) *Job Type & Location* This is a Contract position based out of Milwaukee, WI. *Pay and Benefits*The pay range for this position is $45.00 - $55.00/hr.
